This one needs a little explanation. The prompt was - Roger Waters' 1987 album "Radio KAOS" and Roger Waters in general. I have many thoughts, but only so many can make them into the few stanzas I have in a song.

I reference an incident late last year when Waters got in trouble for "dressing a Nazi" at a concert in Berlin. See, Waters wrote a lot of music criticizing fascism, and his shows feature a segment of the album "The Wall" where he dresses in character to make a very anti-Nazi statement. To accuse him of "dressing like a nazi" is such a bad-faith move it boggles my mind. He's been doing that bit for over 40 years, yet there is no issue until 2023. Very strange.

ALSO! When I talk about the kid named Billy, that refers to the plot of Radio KAOS (yes it has a plot.) Billy has the ability to hear radio waves in his head and to hack into... anything. He uses this power to simultaneously send out broadcasts warning of nuclear strikes in every major city on earth, AND, to lock down the world's weapons to prevent any actual nukes from flying. This deception brings the whole world together as people think they are about to die.

What is the reality of nuclear war? Is it worth these conflicts of profit? Is enriching a tiny handful of rulers worth it?

Saw the face of Roger Waters up on a tabeloid

Banned from playing concerts while dressed as pink floyd

Some kid named Billy with a wheelchair and a phone,

Used his mind to disable nuclear drones Would we come together then?

Headed into deep Waters we may be fickle things

but your principles mean more when inconvenient or unpopular

Headed into deep Waters rising up with all who’d

bring an end to war. No more excuses to go nuclear.

Oooh, the tide is turning
