SO This was supposed to be a song about friendship, and the value of community and the people in your life. Instead it became a worker's rights call to action kinda song X3 SO I like this, so I'm gonna do a different set of lyrics. There will be two versions of this song yaaay! It's a "build" song and takes a while to get going. ideally it's like a big wave you ride for 4.5 minutes. Wacha think? Does it keep your interest or does it just drone on forever?

Lyrics:

Can’t get there alone

Hear the beep, awaken, take our first breath

grind against the lane “the few” have set

go to work both sick and  tired

organize and we’ll get fired

for 40 hours or more, they want our best

Becoming harder to get all these bills paid

we’re not share-holders, no money unless stuff gets made

don’t think that we’re the only

still divided and still lonely

It will take all of us to make a change

and you

Can’t get there alone

Every day, you see us

Isn’t much between us

When you hear the call please answer, answer

tho ‘the few” may fight us

let the pain unite us

maybe if 200 million shouted you

Can’t get there alone

I'm drawn more towards music like this that takes its time to get where it's going. Music that's just flat from beginning to end is the stuff that makes me lose interest. Besides, any song that ends with any kind of organ instrumental is a win by me.

This is really nice. I can totally imagine hearing this on the radio.

This and Up and Gone sound like an album taking shape..
