This was commissioned by fellow Patron: Rainshadow, and OOH I'm so happy they let me go a little weird with this one. There are chord changes I've only read about in books that I managed to make sound semi-natural in a pop setting. Also a fake-out keychange.

Lyrics:

Who do you want? What do they act like?

Are they now, or have they ever been a

perpetrator of flirting?

Give us a picture. Do they meet the description?

If they match this simple numbered test,

we can approve your attraction

-

Em7 A D9

Takin’ a moment. Takin’ a break, see those reflections

  Em7 A   D9  B

Shaking off the cobwebs spun by self-made decency police

Em A D9   B6, G7/F

and now he’s getting word that certain nipples may offend

E7

Under a microscope. In a compactor.

And in the last 10 years, they been burning like a fission reactor

Chorus:

 A  GM7+9

Did he miss it? The chance to make it his business?

D/F#   Dm6/F

Seein’ the light that’s coming out here is beautiful

E7+4 (no 3rd)   A

and we can all strengthen its beam.

Db7/F F#m Db7/F F#m G

Where it started doesn’t have to be the paradigm, no

Faug+4 A/E A/F# B

He’d have never left if he’d known that there was

D/E    A

going to be a change.

D A A6    Eb(dim7)

He’d have never left if he’d known that there was

D    D/E  A

going to be a change.

G7(sus4)

Runnin’ from the 90s and the one transparent box that must

CM7

contain the inner strain and each new conversation locks it

F(sus4) Bb7(sus4)

tighter in towards the center, quiet, knowing it will burst

E(dim7) Eb D

and would you look at the mess that it made.

Dm G7 CM7  Am7

Bringing what he had, he was accepted. Seems that the

Dm G7 CM7 Asus2-A

keeper of the gates had fallen ill or been deposed

Dm7 G7  C G/B Am C/G

and how the good vibratio ns shake up every finer point

Dm D D/E

Are you a dancer? Are you a Poet? Can you be rapt into inhuman

E

experience and will you seed and grow it?

He’d have never paid if he’d known that I would

fake a key change

D/E   A A7  Eb(dim)

We all live inside of your phone

      A A7   F#m7

Do a flip but don’t break a bone

      A A7 GM7

This hotel is musty and old

       A D/A C#7

Mix your salad with EVO

      A A7      A+D# tritone riffs

6-2-1 or you’ll crash and fold

Man, that fursuit reeks don’t you know?

This song’s over leave me alone

Omg this sounds so good! The change in the chord progressions at the very end tripped me up at first, but they work so well. I love how everything unwinds. Great job :3

KrystaMckenzie

This came together so well! Really nice flow and progression. <^.,^>

This song turned out great. Can't wait for the next one. Awesome, man.

I was just watching a video about the chord progression/key changes in Bill Wurtz music and something about this song reminded me about that.

Laptev Tayshet

Been listening to a lot of Bill Wurtz lately huh Pepper?

Angus Cos

Okay, I've already seen other people mention this but it has a Bull Wurtz vibe to it and I love it. I also love the fake key change, it would be funny if you snuck one into a live show.
