Toronto Rain - Status Ferret cover (Patreon)

My guys, get Status' album:https://statusferret.bandcamp.com/album/reinvention-extended-editionI have known Status for a few years now, but hadn't gotten into their music until recently. They're a very exciting new voice in furry songwriting and I wanted to do my own version of their song "Toronto Rain"Listen to mine, listen to the original, buy the album, and tell me what you think!Lyrics:When the light flickers outIn the quiet of the nightThe stars seem endless across a dark sky I spy through the rainAnd watch the world go byAnd dream of where you might be

The sky doesn’t glow as bright Until I know that on that night You’re seeing the very same sky

So what’s the weather like in Toronto? It makes its way to save its rain for you Back here I’m breathing, living, dreaming Thinking of the waysI’m made better by Toronto rain

When all seems endlessAnd there’s nothing left to keepI count the planes soaring through the sky I hope that you’re thinking ofSomething that brings you lightAs the patter of the rain keeps in time

It’s late at night and I should be Awake in another realityBut you’re seeing the very same sky

So what’s the weather like in Toronto? It makes its way to save its rain for you Back here I’m breathing, living, dreaming Thinking of the waysI’m made better by Toronto rain

And when all seems to failI know that looking at the skyLets me be with you for one more night

So what’s the weather like in Toronto? It makes its way to save its rain for you Back here I’m breathing, living, dreaming Thinking of the waysI’m made better by Toronto rain

I spy through the rainAnd watch the world go byAnd dream of where you might be
