Fixed a bug that could cause the group selection box to not reappear after hiding it while the circle was not closed.

Fixed a bug that could compound an EA gallery bug and cause a LUIE.

2.5 UPDATES:

TOOL will now notify you in-game when an update is available. This should help reduce the amount of people clinging to year old versions of TOOL.

Due to a game bug introduced by EA several patches ago, off-lot objects were disappearing any time players loaded an apartment/dorm style lot. I've implemented a workaround for this.

Reduced the radius for closing the grouping box, as TOOL users are usually working in a smaller space than Create-A-World testers. This means you'll be able to click closer to the original point before it will snap close.

The grouping box now supports any polygonal shape.

TOOL v2.3 brings a new feature called Rotate Around Center. It's a toggle in the rotate dialog that lets you choose whether group rotation will rotate all objects around their own axis, or around the group's center.This video demonstrates the difference.Many players requested this, as it'll allow them to rotate TOOL-only builds after they've finished, instead of having to plan which rotation they want to begin with. I hope everyone enjoys.

Added an improved rotation indicator. The circle is now a gradient.Dim = 0. Bright = 360.Positive rotation amounts will always move dim -> bright.

TOOL Build Mode Quick-Start

Better BuildBuy must also be installed.

The usage is the same as regular TOOL, except you will automatically be placed in TOOL mode any time the TOOL dialog is open.

Toggle TOOL in build mode by pressing Shift+T

In addition, shift+clicking surfaces will automatically place a group box marker. This can be used in combination with the Toggle Group button to highlight many objects at once.

When the TOOL extension is open, ctrl+z and ctrl+y will handle the TOOL undo/redo instead of the buildbuy undo/redo.  Buildbuy undo still works when TOOL is closed.

TOOL Live Mode Quick-Start

No other mods are required.

Need to enter testingcheats true or you can optionally force it always on using my AlwaysTesting mod.

Shift+click objects for TOOL menu

Install Instructions⚠ FOLLOW IT WORD FOR WORD. ⚠

1. Delete any existing copies you have for TOOL.

2. DONT use any zip extract options. Instead, OPEN the "TwistedMexi's TOOL v2.6.7 Official" zip by clicking it and drag the "Tmex-TOOL" folder inside to your mods root. That's it! Do NOT restructure or modify the files in any way.3. Make sure 👉Script👈 Mods are enabled in gameplay options -> "Other". Restart if it wasn't.

2026-09-05 06:00 I would really appreciate if you could either put the update number in the file names or put the date of the update in the post, so I know if I have the correct version, I have short term memory loss so keeping up with mods is super difficult for me, and having that would be super helpful to know which one I have, especially since I have enough mods to keep track of, and there are some ( big ) mods such as yours that I prefer to manually update rather then doing them through Curseforge since they don't put them in folders and causes me to lose track of things, so if you don't mind, that would be such a huge help! Thanks :)

hey there! you can actually rename your folder after you drag it into your mods folder, so you can just rename it TwistedMexi's TOOL v2.6.9 Official for example. that's what i do so i know which version i'm using at the time ^^

Hi, this is a great tool, so happy you created it. Thought I would let you know there is one thing that don't work as I had hoped it would. Maybe you made it that way, or something need adjusting. What I am trying to do is put objects on counters or shelves, then use the tools move to move the object back as far as I can to make room on the counter. I put a plate on a stand up on a counter then moved it all the way back. Built a round table from the counters you can sit at and put a table flower on it, then used move to center it. I put a shelf in the bathroom and put a clutter item on it that had to be moved. Then saved the game and traveled to a friends house. When I returned the objects on the counters and shelf that I used the tools move on had disappeared. Don't know where to, hope not just where you can't find them, and taking up KBs. Hope you can fix this to work. Thanks again for your tool mods.

You can't use tool on slotted objects, the game doesn't like it. Place the objects freely on the ground and then TOOL them to where you want them.

Thanks that worked. Can't quite center the table flower though. When I get it close to center the object disappears if I use a positive number. Love this tool, so much more is possible with it. Thanks again for your work.

No guarantee but you can try offsetting the counter by 1 right before moving the flower to the center. Then move it back and it might stay.

hi i dont know how to turn the grid off. after i unclick an object the grid is there. do you know how to get rid of it?

This Mod is one of the Must have mods for me, because you can't play Sims 4 without it, you can do so many things with this, like put the objects outside the lot, so you got more space in the lot. Like that giant microscope, you can just put it outside the lot, and you can multiply objects, it's cheating but its useful, so you can multiply flower seed instead of buying many of them just by 1 and select and multiply it with Tool. Or multiply the Frog logs with tools or multiplying even those digging rocks and dirt piles with Tools. Thats so awesome!
