I refused to include a list of the changes and scenes added when I release a new update to avoid spoilers, but some people have been asking for them. Personally, I think the game is more fun if you play and explore it organically, but some people might want to know what's in each update before pledging or something. What do you think?

Do what you want and don't pander to what whiny people want, eva. Remember, people are atracted to your game for a reason, if you start changing things, it might turn people off.

I kind of enjoy doing a first playthrough, or even a couple, organically. But then I want to go back and look at a list and see what things I missed. It's kind of the completionist in me.

You could always have a separate file for change log and if people want to see it so bad they can open it

Keith

Maybe issue a list of what was all in the previous version when releasing a new one.

Sexagesimalian

Don't spoil anything *here* because it is too easy to stumble across. But having an external site or wiki that includes changes, walkthroughs, art, etc. would be cool.

Put it in a text file, that's what all software devs do. Call it changelog.txt so it's obvious.

I generally much prefer having a walkthrough and being able to plan and pick my preferred, optimized playthrough rather than clumsly trying to find stuff with trial and effort. As a matter of fact being forced to do the latter is a serious turn-off about a game for me, especially if game events fail to provide any clear clues. How I hate the aimless map wandering and frustrating search for random or timed events of Rpgmaker games. However for Ren'py games it is not such a serious issue since I know how to look into the code to get all the clues I might ever need or want. I sympathize with the people that want spoilers, and much prefer game authors that release walkthroughs, but I'm self-sufficient on this, at least for Ren'py games. I'd only get seriously pissed-off if you tried to make the code more difficult to access than it currently is.

To echo what some have said, I think putting it as a separate file you can download (or that is packaged with the game's zip file) is the best way if you want to offer a changelog. That way, people who want to read it will have access to it, people who don't can safely ignore it. But only do it if it is not too time consuming for you.

i like havine an idea of what to aim for..but figuring the right out to actually get the lesbian scenes with eva was tricky..and fun. so i guess no direct spoilers.

Robert Arctor

How about listing the scenes from the *previous* update? If patrons haven't found them in a month, they never might, so it's not so much a spoiler as a way to find more content. This should also satisfy the people who want to know what sort of content your game offers without having to exhaustively explore a public version. You could treat it like a tv series recap. 'Previously, on GGGB:'

Tobias

I don't really mind ether way. I like finding stuff myself and if I don't want to be spoild I just won't read the spoilers😋and it could be nice to know IF I missed something. Maybe make sure to mark the change log with spoiler warning. And you can always keep some stuff hidden in the change log. Keep up the good work! <3

I like the separate text file idea. That way those who want to see it can look, those who don't don't have to. I've found in some other games that even after it has been completed I still haven't seen all that was done and sometimes I'm only aware of changes after I have read about things from other people. Discovery is nice but having some way to make sure I'm not missing content would be preferable.

yankev

Personnally I prefer having the surprise, but adding simple text file with a walkthrough (for this episode only) would be even better...

Wendy Grogan

You could consider making it optional at a certain stage of donation.

What's the problem with not mentioning anything? Is it such a shore to play the damn game? then don't play it. Is it "too much trouble" to just play the game and find out what happens??? Now we have to put up with spoiler for the sake of people who don't even enjoy the game that much? Why would you want the update to be spoiled? I don't get it.

Tak03

voted for no spoiler at all here. I think going through each path everytime a new version is posted, is the main "magic" about this game

ataoz

voted for ''Don't spoil anything'' but tbh you can go with whichever option you want. I always download and play everyroute then look if i miss something.
