Chapter 4 (and 5) news (Patreon)

Hello guys,

normally the Alpha for the next chapter should already be out, but as I said in my previous post this time it will take a bit longer. I'm taking some more time with the writing since there are complex scenes and I have to carefully plan and implement some plot points and narrative mechanics and, besides, thoughtful writing takes time.

The Alpha shouldn't be delayed too long: I hope to be able to finish all the remaining task during next week, so the Alpha should be out by around the 6th or 7th, followed by the Beta and then final release around the 15th, I hope.   

After that is done I will begin work on Chapter 5, and that one should be out late August if my calculations are somewhat accurate. After that I'll probably take a much needed time off, probably during September, and Chapter 6 will be released at the end of  October. 

This is more or less my plan, let me know what do you think! But before that break I have to finish Chapter 4 and deliver Chapter 5, so a lot more content coming your way! I hope you'll enjoy the new scenes, choices and drama. Stay tuned!

Hey I'm all for this plan because everyone needs a break rn. Regardless of whatever you decide I'm gonna keep supporting this wonderful game and I can't wait to see more at whatever pace you can develop it.

Taking breaks is important. Burnout is a real thing, we should recharge our batteries when we can. Doing so will ultimately improve the quality of the game too! Looking forward to the upcoming chapters.

You could (and maybe should?) take the whole month of July off after finishing this update.

And on a slightly different note, I think that you should switch from a monthly schedule to 1 update every 5 weeks. That would give you several days extra without altering your development cycle too much, and you'd always have the same amount of time allocated for every update no matter how long a month is. It seems to me like you need a few more days than a month for a release, so by setting it in stone you won't need to feel stressed about breaking your own deadlines like you've done the past few months ☺

Taking a break to recharge is wise. Glad i stumbled on to your work. As both have been very good. Last chapters writing was very thought provoking with Lena and Seymour. Made me question things. Which was very inspirational, and deep slighted. Outstanding work Eva.

If you need a break, why not take one after chapter 4? I'm loving the story so far anyway. Complex scenes sound great, can't wait to see the next update :)
