That point about radical centrism, I swear I felt that. I've seen where the "center" really is. Folks like Dave Rubin and Joe Rogan think they rep the center. And oh look, everything keeps drifting to the right. [Sorry Vaush, overton window still applies.] I'm just about to wrap of my philosophy class (have to take the final tomorrow), when we got to the principal being charitable, I instantly thought of how folks don't realize you cannot always be charitable, especially with those who refuse to be....you know....fascists. They thrive on charitable nature of others (tolerance) to take over. That's how it always works. I'm not 100% on what the true way forward is against the types of people who flooded Khadija's comments, but I know being overly charitable and "both sidesing" everything ain't it. To be quite honest, the radical centrists who stand up for the right-wing fascists and gaslight folks fighting for social justice or trying to stand up for themselves, that's not very Ucey of them. "Let's sit down at the table of brotherhood and have an exchange in the marketplace of ideas" nah fuck peace. I'm not gonna have this nazi choose fascism all day while I gotta be nice, prim and proper and the "center" moderator keeps jumping in when I'm defending my positiion, but letting the other guy just keep breaking all the rules. (Because fascists don't give a fuck about values, law, order or rules -- but that's another conversation and another 3 paragraphs I could type.)

Please, please, join mastodon. Twitter needs to be taken down. Destroyed. This is our only chance to make this happen. (I'm saying you need to leave twitter, but please do check this movement out. It's the most significant chance to social media in a decade at least. I don't want blackfolks to end up getting left behind. This could be a power move for us.) We can make our own social spaces, control them, come and go as we please. Seriously: This. Is. Huge.

There are a lot of blackfolks working to make this new internet space something that can work for everyone, but of course there are obstacles. None that I don't think we can face.
