Hi Max. Dingo Story created a YouTube series titled "Lean On Me". Through the program, they receive submissions of various stories from individuals who wish to provide strength to someone they love. And they hope that strength would come in the form of meeting their favorite K-Pop idol. TxT and Seventeen had episodes earlier in the year. Hayoung send a submission for V (her favorite idol), already knowing about the premise of the show. She was probably contacted and told they were doing preliminary screening for the episode. The biggest surprise for her was being selected. It seemed that Taehyung, once he decided to do this show, was personally involved in selecting the Army. I'm sure they get many submissions from Army to meet their bias. Taehyung mentioned reading what she wanted to do with him and loving it. Still the genuine emotions from both is what makes us feel we are there.
