POV Hypnosis - Psychology Student Explains The Bookends Theory To Their Professor (Patreon)

There's no way she could actually be using it on you in the process, but then again she is repeating herself a lot, almost like fractionation... Just in case they do have any funny ideas for that email they're going to send you, it couldn't hurt to recap on the theory itself: basically, when someone reads a long passage of text they mainly process the very beginning and end, which leaves the larger middle or body of the message ripe for subliminal suggestions as the reader only skims this longer portion. It works like a hypnotic induction: the beginning draws them in and grabs their attention (The Induction), the middle gives subtle suggestions to their subconscious mind as their conscious mind skims the surface (The Trance), and the ending brings them back to reality and snaps them out while the entire thing seems to be an ordinary conversation on the surface.
