This interviewee employed two very obvious techniques: the Sullivan nod, where a person nods very firmly when asking a question or making a statement to create a sense of compliance in the listener or observer. Secondly, they used a hand movement anchor, sometimes called a Jedi mind trick, to associate and flow their words with a hand motion to make agreement a foregone conclusion. Such techniques would never work on someone like you, an experienced interviewer and boss of many years. It's a good thing you already decided to hire them, double their salary, and give them as many vacation days as they ask for.
This is purely for entertainment purposes.
