Dieter is looking for any sort of job, and just as they is about to give up for the day one presents itself.  It's for a lab position at a company that they never heard of before that allows him to become a drone for them.  Little do they know that they were going to open a wealth of possibility for them.

Serathin, I've just started reading the story here, and I have to say: Is the protagonist meant to be gender-neutral? You say 'they' at the beginning of sentences, but then immediately use 'he' and 'his'. Also, here in the description, on this Patreon page, you say "just as they is about to" - I know the subject is an individual with gender-neutral pronouns, but you still have to say 'they are' https://www.dictionary.com/e/they-is-a-singular-pronoun/ Look for the section "Does singular they take a singular or plural verb?" Although it's also said that it can be down to the individual's preference, so technically, it's Dieter's call - if this was a commissioner, that is. I mean, the whole story and the pronouns within are, presumably for this commissioner, so as long as it passes muster with them, that's fine. Or is this all your creation, and you've simply invented a non-binary / gender-neutral protagonist, just because you wanted to? Regardless, what struck me was the inconsistency, I suppose.

Hey, yeah, I'm Dieter, the commissioner for this, thanks for your concern on the matter. So for almost all of the first chapter, that is him being inconsistent with my pronouns, yes. I'm... at least not Super insistent about him fixing all that inconsistency at this stage since he's going to go through an editing process After this in which the inconsistency on that end will be fixed.

Nice story! I especially loved the snakecock portion, of course. :}
