Honestly, it depends on how you portray the tropes. A lot of people tend to make the omega overly submissive/whiny/weak and the alpha overly dominant/mean. That's what makes it cringe in my opinion. But I know it doesn't have to be that way with the right dialogue and story writing.

Definitely enjoy it more when it’s treated something like parts born with rather than dom/sub if that makes sense. Love a/b/o when it’s written well especially with omegas that are switches or dominant and alphas that are the same or subby

Uh I am no where near online enough to follow this conversation. I think abo is just the soulmates trope reinvented to be more kinky. Some people like the feeling that someone else is destined or biologically driven to find them desirable regardless of circumstance. Not really for me, but I can see the appeal. I'm also very much not a fan of anyone growling in my ear, so I'll probably be avoiding such an audio.
