Wow I'm surprised you guys haven't seen this song. Yes Jimin the king of body rolls hard to take my eyes off him. They all went so hard in this song. Kings of kpop for a reason. I think this was my fav reaction from yall. I loved it especially Jody's little giggles Also Suga and RM are equal to me for different reasons. Even Jhope he just has that energy. This isn't the dance practice that was even more hype If you guys wanna be blown away like this again you really have watch the MMA 2019 It's an award show and BTS made into their concert. They give non stop energy like this. It's soooo good. They do 5 songs. And each member has their own solo dance. It's amazing y'all would love it 💜💜💜

You're welcome, Jody...I'm so glad you took my suggestion to watch this. I hope you watch the official MV and the documentary I sent you, as well. I had the SAME reaction as you, Jody, when I watched this back in 2020! I was still living in Nigeria at the time, and had just dismissed my art students so I could watch the countdown, tingles all over, and then it dropped and I was fucking blown away!! Jaw on the floor, like wtf is THIS!?! BTS had done turned it up a million notches and none of us were ready!!! And then I cried (like you) from such an enormous feeling of pride in our boys. I made my mind up, right then, that I would try my damndest to go to their concert so I could see this performed LIVE. And then a month later, Covid hit, and it all fell apart. :'( But anyway, at least I got to watch them perform it LIVE in their online concert...I was one of those 1.33 MILLION PAID ONLINE VIEWERS, watching from my little laptop in Nigeria. LOL. Being ARMY is an emotional roller coaster, that's for sure. :)

Jody did you spot that this was filmed close to home? Sepulveda Dam in San Fernando Valley. Also the actual marching band that played on this track was UCLA. They were given the rights to use the song as well, so they’ve played it at some of their sports events. Also the girl at the very start of the music video who raises her eyebrow is the choreographer. Sienna Lalau, she was only 19 at the time and they used her entire choreography with no changes as they loved it so much. I think she also choreographed Dionysus too. She’s part of a dance group called The Lab based in LA and I think they were part of the back up dancers for the Permission to Dance concert.

She really missed her prime time to shine!!!! This was supposed to be their FINALE right before they wanted to enlist. They originally were supposed to tour in 2020, and then enlist in 2020. But because of the pandemic they decided to keep up their work and release music as long as they could. Then because of the new plans they made Dynamite that same year, so ON and Black Swan got overlooked that year for awards and charts. But ON and Black Swan and that whole album was incredible!!!

The MV Director is Lumpens, he's an o.g. in BTS' team. Since 2014 he's directed almost every single BTS music video. His kids also come to set, and BTS act like their uncles. It's so wholesome. It's also Lumpens' kids that are in the PTD music video.

The dance crew is THE LAB, they often go join BTS on tour or for videos. The leader of THE LAB is Sienna, and she's close with the boys. She also choreographed a lot of BTS choreo's!!

The dance practices are for the live performances not music videos. You can't put the full choreography in the music video or there would be no story. This does have a dance practice too. There is a documentary film on the making of this song and also behind the sceens of the making of this mv. They performed this at grand central Station in NY shut the station down for them. It was on Jimmy fallon. They have so many great dance performances, the live performances are my favorite especially at the MMA and MAMA awards.

My favorite rapper in the group is Jhope but I definitely think Rm is the best. I think his lyricism alone makes him the best but combine that with his flow and all other musical elements. I always thought yoongi was most similar to western rappers and that’s why I vibe with his music so much

I knew you'd love this MV! Filmed right by my house at Sepulveda Dam here in LA. I do hope you check out the lyrics sometime. They're really deep about mental strength and getting up time and time again. My favorite is Suga's Verse "Even if I fall, I come right up, scream That's how we've always been Even if my knees drop to the ground As long as they don't get buried It's going to be just an ordinary happening Win no matter what Win no matter what Win no matter what Whatever you say, whatever they say I don't give a uhh I don't give a uhh I don't give a uhh, yeah" Suga is my rap bias so I tend to agree with Jody but RM is right up there too in terms of his flow. I just connect more with Suga cuz he raps from intense deep emotion while RM is more of an intellectual rapper from that gigantic brain of his. Both amazing but Suga hits different for me. Looking forward to you checking out more of the rap line.

I hope you guys will check out the dance practice and Busan Concert performance of Run BTS. Not to be confused with BTS Run which you've already seen the MV for. Run BTS doesn't have a MV but the dance practice and concert performance are fire!! PS. Check out V at the concert. I always joke that nobody is a bigger fan of Run BTS than Kim Taehyung.
