Yall are confused about the mushrooms. They don’t change the dish unless it’s an allergy and that’s Carmys decision. It’s not on Sydney.

Sydney ruined it. Carmy made his decision and she wanted to take over. If a customer doesnt want mushrooms they dont make it with mushrooms. Simple..

I think you need to watch the scene again. Carmy says if he doesn’t like mushrooms then he doesn’t have to eat the mushrooms. Then he says the dish doesn’t make sense without mushrooms. Meaning Carmy is not willing to change the ingredients of the dish. If it was up to Sydney she would change it, what does it matter to her she’s not the one who came up with the dish in the first place, it’s Carmys dish. And he’s the one Preparing it, she’s just expo.
