jin is my bias but u got me out here wanting to defend everyone lol! hobi is a sub vocalist, and rm has a few songs where he does sing a bit. Jin is of course extremely talented and a once and a lifetime situation where someone who never sang suddenly became a top tier vocalist. but dont write off the rapline haha, every member of bts has their singing moments so i hope you check out all their solo albums if you havent yet

Hey Jody! About Junkook...I think you misunderstood the conversation about Jungkook. They treat him like their little, maybe annoying, but lovable brother. Jin mentioned Jungkook's name next to his mom, dad, and brother, the people closest to him, so he considers him the person closest to him. He also said many times that he likes JK the most. Suga and Jin constantly say that they raised him, took care of him, prepared his meals, took him to school. There was a time when JK wanted to leave because he missed his family so much. It was Jin who convinced him to stay, took him to his family home and treated him like a real little brother. Suga constantly praises JK's talent, considers him a vocal genius, and they often work together on music (JK records vocal guides for Suga's songs). He mentions Jungkook many times during conversations with other guests. And he only invited him to the show twice and even let him stay and do karaoke. I think if you watch the episodes with Jungkook you'll see how proud Yoongie is of his little brother.

The 2018 MAMA acceptance speech broke me too! I was a mess watching it. It was so sad to see them explain that they wanted to disband, the pain and stress they had endured breaks my heart. It was obvious they were overworked. They're human beings but they were worked like machines, day in, day out.

Jin is an awesome big brother, and you can tell that he put in so much emotional labor over the years being that big brother to all the members. I think he recognizes that he doesn't have any 'dreams of stardom' and he is humble enough to be thankful that he has reached stardom with BTS but he knows and is open about how hard it was on them all to get there. But while RM was the leader, I think alot of casual fans forget that even for RM, Jin was there to be big brother. If people have younger siblings, you will 100% get his 'I love them all but you are the only person I could live with'. I get the feeling that you all picked up on that too. (Also, JK has talked about how as the baby of the group...he has had to learn and mature ALOT, and the oldest members had to help wrangle and help him through all that. He used to live like 'what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine as well'.)

Just wanted to mention that when you get to the Rapline song called Outro Tear, Suga wrote it about that time when they were considering disbanding. It's one of the best Rapline songs IMO.

So, when Suga and Jin were talking about Jin feeling like everyone had their own lane and he was behind they were talking about early on in their career. He said he wrote the song Abyss after that, which is an older song. Jin writes about his insecurities and vulnerabilities in his songs. I believe he's a powerful singer because he sings with such passion and emotion. He really tells a story with his songs. And Suga is right, nobody in BTS can do what Jin does. I don't care what others say, Jin has the widest range in BTS and he has a very strong belting voice. As wonderful as the rest are, none of them can belt like Jin. In the beginning, Jin only had potential but he developed that into a world class talent. It's something to be admired. 💜

I think Jin could parlay his talent into so many things. Would love to see him as a show host of a comedy/variety show, a dramatic actor, or a TV series a la Three's Company. I always say he is like Jim Carrey to me but actually funny. He could be wonderful in any area of entertainment he chooses to go into.

I haven’t read the book but based off personality and the lack of bringing him up when it comes to the whole 2018 convo I don’t think Jimin wanted to quit I could be wrong tho. yoongi has hinted time and time again that he does not care about genders. through interviews and his songs. y’all only say this “don’t assume” thing whenever an idol themselves PUBLICLY states at them being something other than straight. it seems kinda weird no? people are so quick to run with the everyone is straight until they say otherwise! which is also assuming . 😭 i’ll much rather believe the words he says himself.

( long comment incoming :p ) i think the main reason why a lot of people were upset with kion’s comment about jin is that we don’t see kion that often in your reaction, he’s a lot on in the soop reactions and not on the music aspect of bts enough to be saying that. He’s judging jin based on his “variety show” personality saying “he’s just there” and even then jin is THE entertainment king of bts, he’s known to be the king of run bts and has been invited to A LOT of variety shows outside of bts as a solo member. Kion saying jin doesn’t bring anything to bts is VERY different to jin himself saying it, jin is voicing out his insecurities, ofc jin can say that about himself he’s doesn’t see how much he’s needed in bts, so….no kion is not right about what he said, jin is always constantly comparing his weaknesses with the other members strengths (jhope dance skills, jimins high voice….etc) but when you listen to the background of a lot of bts songs you’ll hear him belting or harmonizing with the other members. I mean jimin also claims he’s “uncool” and didn’t bring anything in their early days while we all know jimin is super talented in a lot of ways. i’m really loving your guys reactions to suchwita and im excited for you guys to learn more about the members 😊!

It’s honestly very similar in the way that when JODY was still getting introduced he too said something similar but with Suga, but the more he watched the more he realized how wrong he was. Maybe it just takes Kion watching way more content of them before he makes takes like that. Because also there is a difference in someone feeling insecure about themselves (Jin feeling like he doesn’t have much to offer outside being Jin of BTS) vs that actually being true. It’s normal for people to unfortunately feel like they don’t bring much to the table even though in reality everyone around them feels different. Idk if what I’m trying to say makes sense.

He hasn’t said the full sentence but he has insinuated ALOT of times he doesn’t care about genders etc. I very much doubt he will say those exact words himself though as Korea is unfortunately still a very homophobic country and the likeliness of any of them actually saying anything about it is extremely low.

Suga did not come out and say he was bisexual he said in a song “my voice turns them on whether it’s a guy or girl it’ll make you cum.” If an artist doesn’t come out their mouth and say what they like we shouldn’t assume it? Idk even if it’s true it’s just so weird me how everyone’s always so worried abt kpop idols sexuality like it’s any of our business anyways. I feel like as fans we should know our place and draw a line where it needs to be drawn. I think people tend to look at bts as objects and not as people.
