Just try the pilot I guarantee y’all be hooked! Set in the 1920s era of the prohibition rule. Real deal mob families and gang warfare

That comparison with Uncle Junior and Scar is definitely not at bad one. You can also see that Tony has a lot on his shoulders as well being in a position of power and as a father. That balance is just not there at all in certain situations. You are only 3 episodes in so you'll see how things continue to unfold. I'm fine with or without the subtitles. Solid episode and reaction.

Kion brought a different vibe to the reaction, largely due to the fact that he knows the series well. Idk, if feels like he’s leading y’all to reach a certain conclusion instead of allowing it to come organically. Perhaps he’d be better served in recap, than a “live watch”🤷🏽‍♀️ Also, poor EMan. He seemed so happy during the first 2 eps and now….😮‍💨

Well, there's also the fact that The Godfather and Goodfellas are highly stylized, cinematic portrayals of mob life. Some might even say romanticized. That's not The Sopranos at all. This show is all about portraying them in an "every day life" setting, both in their mob activities and in their day to day domestic, public facing lives. Warts and all. So that's why Tony looks like a buster at times... because sometimes he is. They all are. They're narcissistic, vile criminals who also have other sides to them that you can relate to and even sympathize with, and even laugh at... because half the time these guys either comedians or the jokes themselves. It's like how in Game of Thrones you hate Jaime Lannister at times and at other times you relate to and even sympathize with him. This show has layers to it.
