The king represents Old August D, and The other one represented the current August D. The reason HE plays the characters is because they're representing different versions of himself. It's only ever been 2 different characters at a time.

Ahhhh. Why does he seem to not like himself?

Keyz J.

I don't think he hates himself at all actually...He's said that August D is a side of him that was very angry....Before he enlisted he stated that he current had no more to say as Agust D ,because he's in such a better place .

Yeah so the reason Yoongi plays both characters is because that's not his personas a.k.a Agust D /Suga but his mindset. The king Yoongi is the old Yoongi, the troubled one, the depressed and anxious Yoongi and the Rebel one is the new Yoongi, the "better" Yoongi, so that's why the rebel kills the king. Yoongi has a line in this song that goes "shove my past into a rice chest" and that's what he's doing. Killing his past and letting the present take over. Yoongi planned all three MV's (Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala) himself and he paid for this MV out of his pocket! I'm not sure why, but i think the company didn't want to support it, but feel free to correct me if i'm wrong! Also a little fun fact: At the beginning when Yoongi is walking down the market, he clashes with a guy that looks into the camera and then get's beaten up by the guy he pushed, that's Jin and Jk!

Jody at 0:58 seconds into the music video Jin & JK had a lil' cameo. The dude that hits Suga on the shoulder as he walks through the market is Jin and then he and JK have a fight in the background. Thanks for reacting. I love this song, it was the first song I heard of Agust D's after I became ARMY. Btw there's a great live performance of this with all the members for their 2021 MUSTER SOWOOZOO ->https://youtu.be/DEN5JBvjLc4?si=YjsmUmv47Zextf4h

Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala form a trilogy. In the most simple form, in Daechwita and Haegeum he is killing off the part of himself that don't serve him, anger then greed. Those emotions came up in him due to trauma so in the prequel, Amygdala, he tries to save himself from ever experiencing the trauma but in the end he realizes that it's not possible. The only way out is to heal it. My interpretation. 💜

In addition, he also said that everything he had experienced and felt he had already put into song lyrics like August D.

At the end of the video, Jody clicked on the performance of Seesaw, from August D' tour, I was so excited, I love it...but then he took it down😅😂🤣
