I think that bring curious about "these asian men" is fine, but when people get into "these gay asians wearing makeup " and "send them back to north korea" its definitely racism and ignorance, theres no denying that.

my definition of racism is different than yours. Racism is the belief that once race (your race) is "Superior" to another. So, I dont think someone sayiong "Go back to Korea" is racist at all.

Racism is literally having prejudice on a person based on their race.......but so we are very clear....you dont think that telling these south korean men to "go back to North Korea" is racism??

No. Prejudice is prejudice. Racism is a different word with a different meaning. Thats why theyre two different words. Yes. Telling koreans to go back to Korea is not racist. Just like telling white Americans to go back to America isnt racist. Or telling Africans to go back to Africa.

Definition: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.................... ---- Now if you just take the word "Prejudice" as a definition of racism you will end up with the wrong conclusion. What is the definition of "Prejudice?" - "preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience."....... Now if we use that definition, you should believe if a black person says "Asian people love rice" that is racism because the black person ASSUMES that Asians love rice based on the belief that Asian People eat lots of rice. But that is far from "racism" to me. Or if someome says Koreans people are fair-skinned people. We know that to not be true as their are darker Koreans too. This is the sign of someone being ignorant, but not racist. I wouldn't call that person racist because of prejudice. go back to the definition. the other two descriptive words are better definitions of racism "Descrimination or Antagonism" are definitely aligned with racism. Not prejudice on its own. When you combine prejudice with antagonism and descrimination, then it makes sense.

and about North Korean vs South Korea, race has nothing to do with it. That is politics. Koreans are Koreans.

Telling Africans to go back to Africa....or telling anyone to go back to they are from you're from simply because you are the way you are , or look the way you look is 100% racism...not to mention THEY ARE NOT FROM NORTH KOREA. Its meant to be racist, insulting ,and demeaning.

Had they been a group of white boys..They wouldn't have been told to go back anywhere. Because they were a group of "Asian men with bowl cuts and makeup" singing songs that Americans or more specifically WHITE AMERICANS couldn't understand they were told to go back to North Korea. ( again a country that they are NOT from) . THAT IS BLATANT RACISM. No matter how much you try and switch the definition.

No...Koreans are not just koreans....the language isnt 100% the same, the lifestyle is different, and their ideology is different. People literally have to escape North korea bc of the shit that goes on there...its not just Koreans are koreans.

I don’t think bts are required or need to learn English. It would be better of course especially for them to go to America. But let’s not forget they are still K-POP most of the things they do is IN Korea. So I think they would be fine if they didn’t. Especially since most of their team is Korean.
