I agree with E-Man about them being negligent in finding out more about that chick in the FBI. Even though this show takes place after the Mafia took a big hit certain things still should be maintained. This also falls on Adriana herself because she knows what Chris does and the possible issues of bringing new friends around. She didn't have many friends and that made her a easy target. On to the next episode.

Silvio is the biggest gangster in the show. Disobeys Tony and then looks his boss dead face in the eye in his home and basically said ‘and what ?’ about the whole situation. No one else got them kinda balls in the show. I can feel a civil war coming and pacing getting better

During this time around the 2000s a FBI agent did infiltrate the Gambino family. Started out targeting a different group. But the mob got involved and a Captain in the Gambino's was enticed by the agent because of his greed. Never met him before never knew him but just took his word. Because he was bringing in money so the agent took advantage of his greed and the fact this Captain liked to talk a lot. No one asked about him or where he came from. Although there were some crews who did not do anything with him because they did not know him. The real mob didn't do background checks. That is tv. To them their background check was they knew these people from childhood. Or they had a sponsor who they knew that knows them. If it was a mobster from different city. Then they had to check in with the family who they knew. If a mobster from another city starts talking to a guy like I am from this family and so and so. That other guy would get suspicious and want nothing to do with him. Because that is not how they introduce each other. Someone who knows him has to introduce him to other mobsters. He would say he is a friend of ours if he is a member. and he is a friend of mine if not a member. Donnie Brasco almost got killed because someone got suspicious. He is a FBI agent who infiltrated the Colombo then the Bonanno family in the 70s and 80s. Someone in the Colombo did not know him or trusted him. So they had him in a basement surrounded until they got someone, they knew who knew this guy. The fbi had a confidential informant who the mob thought at the time was good. That informant said he knew him. And they let him leave that basement alive. You can say the American mob Cosa Nostra is a sexist group. They don't have female members or tell females any business of the mob. The Camorra is different it is a Naples based mob group that Tony visited in the show where he got that Italian guy. They did have female members

About the fbi agent who infiltrated the Gambino family. He was Cuban and portrayed himself as a Sicilian from Miami. He took on the name Falcone. I remember that because of the Batman character. That captain asked him what his name was he told him Falcone. And the Captain looked at him suspiciously and asked him if he was related to that cocksucker in Sicily. The guy he was talking about is a Sicilian prosecutor who was going after the mob there. He was killed by the them in italy I think in the 90s

Something about the show isn’t fueling me anymore. Like they lost track of the story/writing..not to sure what the goal is now anyway. The reaction and your commentary of course is great but something just isn’t there like it was before. Maybe it’s just me. Still a good reaction guys 🙏🏾

"Real mafioso shit." Man, E is watching this show with the wrong mentality. Spoiled by the romanticized depictions in The Godfather or hyper-stylized look of Goodfellas or Scarface. The mob stuff is background noise in this show, not the centerpiece. Power, loyalty, codes... that shit is fake. Real mafioso motherfuckers don't give a damn about any of that shit in real life. The real mob types will stab their own grandmother in the eye with an icepick just to steal the icepick. They are pathetic, narcissistic, hollowed out parasitic psychos always leeching off each other and anyone else they can. This show is a realistic character study, not a mob fantasy. If you watch the show with that in mind you might get more out of it.
