Yeah they miscast Maekar and Baratheon. Maekar is decribed as thickly built and powerful with a square cut beard white and gold. And Baratheon was described as tall and powerfully built. A staggering giant of a man taller than Fossoway and almost as tall as Duncan. They were miscasted

Show is based on a graphic shortstory novel, George wrote it after his first game of thrones book back in 97. There are 3 novels and he will write ''more'' he said. So this will air every year and every novel will have its own season. Pretty mid ending i agree but yeah i see this as a small scale story for the larger Game of thrones universe they plan on making. There are talks of a Dune sized movie of Aegons conquest rn etc.

I think because what people saw from GoT and HotD they thought this would be the same. This is the same world but a very different time and the tone of the books are so different as well. I think as the show continues it will grow on people. Just can't go into it thinking it will be like the other bigger budget shows. I think this show is a good intro to the ASOIAF universe that will bring people to want to watch GoT.

I actually agree with that Phillip. I expected BOT/HOTD level quality. But what throws me off is that the fanboys ARE SAYING that this IS GOT quality and it makes me upset. So idk
