They were definitely holding a lot back, probably/hopefully for their upcoming tour starting in April.

This cut/edit version is much better than the live broadcast that went out becauseNetflix kept cutting to buildings and the crowds instead of the band performing. It was frustrating but part of the reason for doing this live was to promote Seoul, Korea, which is understandable.

No there was no lagging but it was just frustrating filming the crowd all the time and the buildings. We didn't wanna see that.

Of course. I'm not complaining, it's what they gotta do to save energy and secret stages from the upcoming tour. We know how great they are on stage.

you'll see when you react to the full album but half of it is super hard hitting hip hop/club vibes and the other is more grunge and soft! I haven't watched the whole thing yet but I have a feeling you're not too crazy about swim lol don't worry! the more you listen to it the more it grows on you and the other songs hit so hard especially when hearing it in the studio version. The members said multiple times that it was very different and that this album is a new era in finding BTS' new sound. The documentary from LA comes out tomorrow so were not too sure yet but there was an article reporting that the BTS were having multiple arguments against HYBE during the making of the album- After everything, though, It seems like all the members are genuinely happy about what songs made it and how everything ended up so I'm glad it all worked out! It's so nice seeing them be so excited for this new era

The album is very experimental and a good reset for them to play around with sound and trends. It has atleast 2-7 favorite tracks for most people listening to it which is not bad. Others like everything on it, so it is a good place for them to pick up I think. Gets new songs into the concert playlists.

To get a better grasp of the songs, listening to the album start to finish will give you a better understanding. The audio on Netflix doesn't do the songs much justice. Also please watch 'Studio Notes' on their youtube channel. They go through each song on the album and talk about why they chose that song, who worked on it etc.

The album definitely starts off with more hip hop/rap heavy songs which kinda surprised me when I first listened to it, it reminded of their debut music back when they mostly released hip hop inspired sounds. The other half of the album is definitely more slow and has songs with introspective lyrics. My fav songs from this album are definitely like animals, they dont know bout us, please and merry go round. I think you will enjoy the latter half of the album more, shame they didn’t perform all the songs from this album in this performance.

Yay!!!! Thanks Jody for uploading so quick I thought we would have to wait a couple days. It's also good that you waited because I watched it live and the subtitles were awful because they didn't know what they were going to be saying ahead of time so they were typing it out as they were saying it and it was really behind, so you have an advantage of watching it later. Jin's siren in like animals is going viral his voice is so good this album.

I would also say that the hip hop songs also have some meaning to them as well if you do the research. Genius has the info on what these songs mean and they lyrics as well. I also feel like that will also give you a better and different insight on the hip hop songs. But totally up to you 💯

idk jody I disagree with you. maybe I've just been starved to see new performances but I thought this was a really great show they put on with lots of energy. I've seen lots of new ppl interested in them bcc of it. I do think the actual tour will be a lot more major tho. the Netflix showing definitely takes away from it a bit tho bcc all the clips that have gone viral among fans and non fans have been from fan recordings. the song and choreography for 2.0 is everywhere rn. arirang in general has just been more liked by non fans more than army and other Kpop stans (I hate Kpop stans so im glad this is the case lmao) actual music lovers are finally tuning into them now.

I think they messed up the audio idk. Like, in swim I can hear the higher backing vocals louder than the actual singing. I wasn’t like that in the live lol.
