* This is long but bare with me I’m not hating* The Music video is a reference to the Korean movie ‘Old Boy’ just because YOU didn’t get it, does not mean it doesn’t make sense. There are people who saw the video and IMMEDIATELY got it. I was one of them, I got it but i wasn’t sure I was right until I saw other people also comment on it. And if you put scenes from the music video and certain scenes from the movie it is so clear. I get that you guys haven’t seen the movie but like I do sometimes wish you guys look outside of things a bit more and what I mean by that is, not always taking things at surface level and maybe sometimes think “hmm maybe there is something I’m missing” rather than “this didn’t make sense, what the hell were they thinking” i enjoyed watching yall reaction to the video, seems like yall enjoyed it but honestly id be so down for yall to be looking up things while you react, you guys do it sometimes. I would’ve loved if you guys went “let’s look up if there is a reference here” because there have been tons of artist who do reference in their music videos. It just sometimes feel like E-man is so quick to shit on them the minute he didn’t get something, “Man this shit was dog” “it would’ve made more sense if ……” but it did make sense… yall just didn’t know, which is Ok but the way he goes about something he didn’t get is just what I don’t like. “This came off as sissyfied” what? 🤣I do appreciate JODY and the other guy (sorry I forgot your name) trying to look deeper into it later on in the video, lol I’m writing this as I’m watching y’all’s discussion 💀”it’s not bad just cuz you didn’t understand it” YESSS thank you, just cuz it didn’t make sense to you don’t mean it was bad lol. “They feel disrespected, under appreciated, they’re angry” omg thank you. Why is it the guy who isn’t here as much the one getting it more😭 they literally say in the song “Had your little fun fella?” “Came back for what’s mine” so many people in the industry said BTS would lose their popularity after the military and were thinking that now that BTS are “gone” it’s their chance to Shine as if it was BTS who was holding them back this whole time💀people also constantly say that BTS should give a chance to other people to shine…ight ok they were gone for four years and none of them were able to even come close to the kind of records BTS were setting. So it is kind of a dis “did you have fun while we were gone” is more or less what was being said in the song. There’s also little things that bring that back to their Korean side through out the album, one of in Body to Body (the arirang sample). Then in Aliens (their mention of Kim Gu, is so important and someone who is Korean would almost immediately get the reference. Then there’s this video and making it related to a classic Korean movie, then there’s No.29. Etc

Saying something like "just because YOU didn’t get it, does not mean it doesn’t make sense" is crazy! That is what sense is. If he didn't understand something, it doesn't make sense to HIM. Why are you projecting your iteration of the MV on E-Man? None of these Videos are 1:1 - what you see can be different from what I see or the other person sees. It's called ART. btw, I have seen "Old Boy" the Koean and remade American Version, and I don't see the similarities at all. Especially if you know what Old Boy is about. The Style can be Any 80's street gang movie or tv show. It looks more like BAD or Smooth Criminal to me, but hey, that is how I see it. But I won't say your opinion is wrong either. Because it's all ART. It's subjective.

“It’s not bad just because you didn’t understand it” is also a direct quote from your friend in the video btw. I wasn’t projecting anything. I agree with you Art is subjective, so I’d say the way E-man was disrespectful in sharing his “opinion” was way more of a projection than what I said. “This shit was dog” I simply said just because it he didn’t understand it doesn’t mean it didn’t make sense. Which is true, because he stated it as a claim, like they just did whatever to the video and had not much thoughts on why they did certain things. I wish I could upload clips or photos here so I can show you side by side the references they made to the movie because it’s literally not just my own irritation, in the credits of the video they give a special thanks to Park Changwook who is the director from the movie old boy, RM also recently a few days ago posted the movie on his instagram story, the director of THIS music video also posted on his instagram saying “Thank you to director Park changwook, who’s work was a deep source of inspiration for this project” so it’s not even one of those things were they are telling people to interpret it how they want, it was the reference and they have let people know it was a reference.

I feel you, but let me ask you a question. If a person is too dumb to understand that we need oil to have gas to drive cars, does that make his opinion that "Oil is bad for earth because we dont really need it in 2026" invalid? I think its valid regardless of his knowledge. What do you think?

But what is their claim tho? If they are saying “oil is bad for the earth” they wouldn’t be wrong though because facts say it is, so that would be valid, them thinking we don’t need it though would is a different case because they cannot make a claim like that if they don’t have proof that we don’t need it and to use proof they would knowledge on it. Just because people state something that they believe doesn’t make it automatically valid. Because there are certain things that are just not opinion based, you are either wrong or you are right. Real quick to the E-man thing, I’m not saying that he was wrong for not getting it I’m just saying that he cannot claim the video makes no sense when in fact it was done in a way to make sense as long as you pay attention to what they’ve said. Ok example, if someone goes “the Korean language doesn’t make any sense, because I don’t get it” do you think that’s valid? I’d say definitely not because again just because you don’t get it, doesn’t mean it lacks sense. Which was basically what E-man said

So you put matters of opinion based on truth or agreement. You should not do that. Opinions are free for everyone to have. Unless it can be factually proven wrong. Your opinion on Emans misundertanding of the video is NOT based in fact. You believe for a fact that it is based off an old movie, which is not fact. Its ART. Even another army on here said 2.0 was based off of something else. You get where im coming from?

But it is a fact. I’m not talking about the song. The song 2.0 itself has nothing to do with the Old boy movie, but the music video does. Which is a fact. Not based on my opinion but based on the director of their music video literally thanking the director of the movie for the inspiration on the project (project referring to the music video itself). The director of the Movie is in the credits of the Music video, this is not an opinion it is a fact that it’s referencing the movie for the MV not the song. Anyways sure E-man can think it doesn’t make sense to him, I just thought he should’ve gone abt it better than saying “this shit was dog” or “it was sissified” but it’s his opinion ig :) agree to disagree.

Yeah Jody it does have some old boy scenes in it. Rm part is literally the exact set in old boy in the final scene they recreated it. And the beginning aswell.
