Wow this was a great interview and Eman lowkey being a hater was hilarious LOL, Jimin gave us great info here and we can see his English skills here too, I think he definitely understands a good amount for sure, I’m currently learning Japanese and French and sometimes listening can be easier than speaking

Jodys Corner

How are you learning if you dont mind me asking? Also, which is hardest to learn for you?

I am learning with various apps made specifically for learning my chosen language, and YouTube, right now I prioritize Japanese so I currently cycle between apps made specifically for Japanese and when I use YouTube, I search up Japanese children’s stories for learning with subtitles on the screen, and the people who post these videos usually explain the grammar after each sentence and then I go back and listen without looking at subtitles. I also study the basic Japanese characters chart Hiragana daily like how here in America we have the ABC’s and vowels with charts and songs for them they have the same thing so I spend at least an hour a day binge watching and studying children’s grammar videos on YouTube on channels that also provide the explanation behind each sentence and it’s grammar also watching TV shows and listening to music helps a lot. You have to really fully immerse yourself in the language as if you would do for your child when they are first learning how to speak. Consume as if you’re a toddler then gradually increase the level as you become more fluent, I personally don’t care too much for writing in a foreign language right now I just want to be fluent in listening, speaking, and reading.

I would say French is hard for me, I grew up watching anime, and old Japanese films (Chinese as well) thanks to my dad he was really into the East Asian old fighting movies, so majority of my life being around Japanese it comes more naturally to me since I’m more familiar with it, I would say if someone knows Spanish they could learn French easier because French borrows quite a bit of words from Spanish, also for me the French accent/pronunciation is harder than the Japanese words pronunciation
