Solid first episode; better than I was led on with the trailers. Some interesting and subtle character work and without oversaturating the whole show with tacky glam rock every 30 seconds. You hear that, JG?

Na Grew up with the Green Lantern from Justice league and Justice league ultimate I like hal but he’s not a character that I have love for.

think this was a solid start from the show and I’m already loving Hal and John’s dynamic. and I was really interested with the detective and integration scene and I’m liking the vibe that this show is going for. This episode felt really grounded which I think it will upset some fans but at least we got some green powers in this episode. Hopefully we get a actual action scene next episode. entertaining reaction nonetheless

My expectations for this show were low and I was giving this a show a chance at being a B- overall. I wasn't expecting a flashback situation for possibly the entire season. Hal Jordan dying in the first episode was kinda odd. Does this mean Guy Gardner will be only flashbacks as well and still hasn't given John Stewart his blessings to be the current "Green Lantern"? Maybe Hal was alien duplicate?I could be overthinking it and we'll see. The episode wasn't bad and it could've been better, but I wasn't bored. It was a solid B-.

I wrote DC off for another decade when they hired him to run it. Superman was rubbish too couldn’t finish it. Can’t believe this shit got greenlit in the first place

I completely enjoyed that episode and i had no hype for this. I grew up with john stewart as my green lantern because of the justice league cartoon so am fine with hal being dead. When i think green lantern i think john not hal. I am surprised how much i like aaron pierre as john. He fits it way more than i thought especially with the moustache. I am intrigued to watch the rest of the show, the dynamic between hal and john looks great. wish the budget was bigger thats about it.

Or maybe just a dead hal duplicate decoy, we have seen in the trailer, there are manhunters that shapeshift and they said aliens are able to trick x-rays , scans and pass as humans with human organs
