I gotta give this episode a solid cheeks+. Things are far too grounded, and while that may work for heroes like Batman, Punisher, Daredevil, etc etc, it neuters everything awesome about Green Lantern. I would actually have more respect for the show if they gave us an abundance of cheesy effects of them doing stuff à la Star Trek, Buffy, or something rather than giving us dialogue as to why they aren’t using the ring.

2 main things that henders this show. #1. Green Lantern is a character that should be in the big screen and not a TV show. #2. These are a weaker version of the Guardians because in the comics they can just take the ring away from Hal. I stay away from leaks as well, but if the Manhunter is either Zoe or Sheriff Kane that would be underwhelming. As for 4s!!!! comment about other shows being better, I've seen all the shows he name except Agents Of Shield. This show may be mid at the moment, but there's no way in hell I would watch Agatha All Along, Wandvision, Hawkeye, Luke Cage, She Hulk, Secret Invasion, Iron First and Jessica Jones over this show. Just thinking about those shows just makes my skin crawl. Like I've said before my expectations for this show overall was a B- or C+. So far I've gotten B & C episodes so it's going as I expected. This episode was C+ for me.

The only redeeming quality of this show is Hal Jordan. Too bad we’re getting John Stewart who is easily the worst part of the show, carried over into the DCEU instead of getting more of Hal.

Fr I dont even blame you bro Superman is my favorite hero of all time and DC's treatment of the one who stated it all is fucking abysmal, its so frustrating being a Superman fan but FREAK IT! I got Marvel to fall back on and Gambit is my favorite Marvel character so seeing him in these new X-men movies is gonna bring me life, I know they gonna do my boy Gambit right cause Marvel aint trash like DC MARVEL RISESSSSS!!!!

DC too slow to realize they should have marketed this show towards a bigger audience and make it about them being heroes considering general audiences know next to nothing about their lore and their universe is too new to put out a detective type show. If you want to succeed you would introduce these characters in a bold powerful way so it becomes a household name. They limited their audience just for this bs. I think superheros content should be able to be seen by teens too considering they are a major part of the target audience usually. MCU markets all their stuff to everyone so they cast a wide net and people will grow up being fans of their characters. Lanterns will come and go and all it will be is a show some adults enjoyed. Not a position you wanna put your character in if you wanna build a universe to last for years

I agree. Though, I like the adult themed stuff in Superhero shows. The main problem like you said is that this aint no superhero show. Idk wtf this is. Teens wont relate, hell, even ai dont relate to a lot of the messy dialog. They should have never made it if they didnt have the budget to make it RIGHT

Having just watched Jessica Jones season 1 again, the suspense and tension with Kilgrave is top tier television to me. Season 2 is trash though.
