The only issues I have on this episode is how easy it was to kill Zoe. Crazy how being a lantern destroyed Hal and John trying to become one nearly destroyed him. Plus John suit better be energy from the ring.

Love the reaction, Jody and BG4 holding it down 🫡. This episode was very much just shit happening on screen for me. The Manhunter was so easily disposed of that there has to be another one clearly. I’m tired of the direct commentary on race and adversity. I understand a lot of comics are political in nature but they operate with some subtlety half the time; this show has zero subtlety and it’s just stupid dialogue imo. Idk what the point of blowing John up was, it went nowhere. That night vision scene made me nauseous. Hal just let people die because I guess his ring was at 5% but still picked and chose what to stop in the same scene….it’s a mess at this point.

This show feels like a Syfy channel series rather than an HBO show lol. This show tries so hard to be smart and in doing so, it just ends being dumb as shit. These lanterns are sorry asf, the humans suck, hal sucks, jon sucks, that obvious manhunter sucks, the aliens fuckin suck, budget is ass, directing is booty, and the writing is big fat ass. I liked the mystery up until this episode. Kyle Chandler has been great tho, easily the best part of this show. I genuinely don't understand how people are eating this up, but they can keep this shit.

21:28 4!!! screams because he had the perfect roast for John. 😂. I said it once and I'll continue to say it "My expectations for this show were low." It's going exactly how I thought it would go. These are the weaker versions of Lanterns & Guardians. To be honest I'm glad that Manhunter is dead because I was tired of seeing her. That ring charge/power is absolutely DISRESPECTFUL. I can keep going, but it's not worth it. I expected nothing B & C grades for these episodes. This one was a C+.

I tried to be more optimistic about this show, but it's painfully mid. I love the casting, but im starting to get annoyed with dumb choices:...Hal's Ring loses power too fast, like an old iPhone when the new iPhone comes out. The fact that we are 5 episodes deep and it's still not addressed in the narrative is a big problem for me. The Manhunter mystery was kinda dumb, we went in a complete circle, and it resulted in Jody's words: "niggas with guns" fighting each other. This show is too cheap, too grounded, and we needed a deeper mystery centered around Sinestro, Hal, and the white lady guardian who is clearly evil. Hopefully, episodes 6 through 8 end with that.
