I just caught the end “this won’t stand the test of time.” Nah. This is immortalized. But this also isn’t for everyone. Such a shame. Sorry for predicted your enjoyment for this wrong :/ I regret the hyping. My fault. I just wish this was a tv series. A world as big as GOT? We need 10 hours per movie/book also. Note: LOTR third movie is in a 3 way tie for most Oscar’s won in a single film. It’ll be your fav of the trilogy I think.

To some extent I agree with Jody. This kinda reminds me of needing an anime brain to fully understand things. But there’s also so much to know. We need this as a tv series.

Jody i agree that the simple war story of good vs evil is outdated, even though Dark knight trilogy has a theme of good vs evil the antagonists make the story more complex than that. Thats why its hard for me to rank it higher than Dark knight trilogy but i dont agree that this trilogy wont stand the time test. I believe 20 years from now they will still be regarded as one of the greats. Also the Lotr score is way more iconic than the dark knight trilogy scores and thats just a fact. Even tho Dark knight trilogy has beyond Fire sountracks like ''A dark knight'' and ''rise'' the lotr has to many great scores in the pocket to even have a debate.

I do agree. Begrudgingly so. This story and universe is made for teens and preteens. I say teens because the books are darker. The goblins, orcs, Uruk-hai, and trolls will eat you. Don’t get much of that in the movies. This series ain’t going nowhere. It’s only gonna be redone and remastered into a tv series or another series of film I’m sure.

Looking forward to having a proper discussion about the trilogy once you’ve seen the third movie, but here’s how I would describe the “energy” of each movie so you can go in with the correct mindset: Fellowship of the Ring – Adventure movie The Two Towers – Action movie The Return of the King – "Biblical"/Epic Side note: whoever suggested that you should watch the extended editions of The Hobbit trilogy and then the LOTR extended editions, instead of just watching the theatrical cuts of LOTR first, is a crazy person.
