They couldn’t take pictures because then people would know they were filming this and it would ruin the surprise to fans and then the lack of English at this time made it worse.i don’t think jhope meant it in a rude way they just had no choice.im pretty sure if they weren’t filming they would’ve took a picture but oh well

They do give autographs and takes pics Jody. It’s just when they are filming or doing photo shoots are something important they don’t take them because they don’t want it to get ruined. I took a pic with RM in New York when I saw him with Anderson Paak. He ask me not to uploaded it because he didn’t want who was on his album to get ruined.

they had to say no to pictures because that would spoil Bon Voyage. You have to remember that they tape a lot of stuff months or even a year before it is released. they don't want to spoil the surprise to ARMY. We ARMY are notoriously famous about analyzing any BTS media they show, many times ARMY had spoiled surprises that BTS tried so hard to keep under wraps. That is why we try to teach Baby ARMY that if you find BTS on the wild: NO, YOU DIDN'T SEE BTS, you just walk away and give them their privacy. Obviously those lucky ARMY can reveal that after BTS reveals it themselves. ALSO please remember that BTS had received multiple death threats....so any info regarding their current location is VERY DANGEROUS to share.

Yeah, the rule (given by their staff/managers) of not taking photos with their fans is all about avoiding spoilers. It's not that BTS, themselves, want to diss their fans. They were TOLD not to take photos so that these videos, which are filmed sometimes MONTHS in advance, won't be spoiled/leaked before the videos are meant to be published.

Comments have already mentioned this but another example of them not taking photos with fans during shoots is when jimin came to london earlier this year , we saw nothing of his trip until a lady working at universal Harry Potter studios revealed she saw jimin there when she was working , she only showed us this after he left to go back to Korea and when Jimin officially posted on his Instagram that he was there, another example is when taehyung went to another country (Mexico to shoot his feature on a cooking show , which was filmed for weeks maybe ? Can’t remember) but he posted on Weverse after thanking army for pretending not to recognise him in public. While they can give autographs, pictures can spoil their work , potentially expose their location which could end up as a threat for their own safety

Jody, at 77:44 when you said "That leg was way out there." That move is an inside joke making fun of Jimin. All the members participate in roasting him with this. It comes from Jimin's part at the beginning of the MV for Save Me. It's hilarious and they do it all the time at their concerts. 😂💜

Tbh celebrities don’t rlly owe anyone a picture. Bts have definitely given that same response in America, there’s just been no backlash bcs most armys already know they won’t take a picture if they can’t or simply don’t want to so no one ever complains if it happens. Only ppl that would complain is paparazzi but they always bitching abt something lol. Majority of armys respect the boundaries bts and their company laid out so there haven’t been problems like that.

I feel like especially in bts’ case with how top tier their relationship is with their fans and how much they give and give and give, they have the right to say no to pictures more than anyone. If ppl think it’s rude they can kick rocks (not talking about yall)

Sorry for so many comments☠️but I recommend Suga’s August d trilogy: daechwita mv, haegeum mv, and amygdala mv. Suga is definitely introverted and quiet but he’s not always in the back you guys just haven’t seen that much content yet. But I think listening to his solo songs will make yall vibe w him a little more. Yall are new fans so it makes sense yall not gone fw everyone immediately. I didn’t care for tae/V at first bc he’s just very mysterious to me and I couldn’t figure him out but now I absolutely love him. Also agust d (pronounced like the month) is the name Suga goes by for his solo work. Jungkook is also an introvert and really shy as yall will start noticing.

Definitely Suga (aka Agust D as a soloist)! Please watch the MVs: 'Agust D', and the trilogy: Daechwita + Haegeum + Amygdala. They are awesome MVs and the songs are amazing. He really is a very talented musician. The trilogy can of course be watched as separate items, but because of the background story (pay attention to the scar on the face!), it has a lot more to it -> if you are interested, you would have to google some explanations. If not, the MVs will still be fun!

From what I've heard, BTS members sometimes give autographs when asked but I don't think autographs are as popular anymore as they once were. I may be wrong. Nevertheless, BTS' safety is of top priority and their staff/bodyguards are always on high alert when it comes to the members. It can get downright dangerous for them sometimes because they are such top tier celebrities now. And considering that several of the members received death threats in the past, you will rarely see them out and about where fans can potentially get close enough to ask for photos or autographs. And yes, our "baby daddy" was one who received death threats in the past. It boils my blood to think anyone could hate our sweet Jimin so much but there are some fucking crazy people out there.

I think it's a great boundary that BTS don't just take pictures with everyone, and fans know this too. But you can always ask them nicely, I think when they're approached like a human and asked nicely and it's good timing, then they do take pictures or give an autograph.

This us just my view and opinion on things ❤️. Because I see the BTS boys as strong business characters, that don't follow management if they don't like management. You're seeing the management as the evil factor in every situation. But I do hope you realize at some point that the BTS boys have a say in how they're managed. Like boundaries for privacy and safety are important for them personally.

actually the interaction fan with BTS is super close and they do take picture sign and hug but this is at a project when they had to work and followed the rules with the company or they had to filmed something a variety show at work they can’t do this cuz it will spoiled but when fans spot them outside when they’re not working just chilling then they take pictures and sign or sometimes they allowed when they at filmed they still lets the fans takes pictures happened many time before so the interaction BTS had with fans is massive

I feel them not giving random autographs is also a way to protect ARMY from being exploited to pay exorbitant amounts of money for things like this. They very aware of their celebrity status and power so I believe they try to limit autographs to organized fan meets so that if anybody tries to pull this crap at least they can be traced since you have to be registered member to attend those events.

I know it's been a while since you watched Bon Voyage, but I hope you will continue. I just recently watched it and rewatching now with you. This was soooo nice. I almost cried at the end of the series, how sweet and humble these boys were (are). I have been to Norway 3 times, I love it. FYI - there are a LOT less people, so it will always look more 'empty', except for touristy locations. Bergen is also not a particularly big city. And yes, they would frigging have your suitcase there. They are very nice people, even if they seem weird for foreigners.

I really wish ppl would stop calling stalkers and casual fans as Army. Army do not swarm the guys, we don’t track their location or show up at unofficial/unannounced events, we don’t take pics/video of them outside of public events (concerts, fan meets, etc are public) - we don’t even share or spread the images stalkers take that the guys didn’t consent to, we don’t approach them bc we RESPECT their personal space and time. most Army will say if they ever see BTS in person they will run the other way. Casual fans and stalkers do all the things you keep saying Army do, like swarming them, tracking, or going crazy. I get that the K-pop fandom it’s a different culture of its own and honestly, Army is different even from K-pop fandoms bc we actually respect our artists and treat them like humans - but people outside the fandom or new to it keep lumping actual Army with stalkers and casual fans who don’t respect the guys. I really hope y’all get the chance to watch some videos of actual Army’s treating the guys at our core value and what Army etiquette actually is - there are fanmade videos of this. Our fandom has even made Army etiquette posters that we spread on twitter/social media, especially around concert times. As a fandom, we are very very particular on how our guys are treated with respect and privacy, but young and/or immature fans/stalkers drag our name into their toxic behavior and make all of us look bad. Please don’t call them Army, the should be called either Ssaesangs or stalkers.
