Your steady improvements are super impressive! Here, have my praise!

Everyone should learn how to do CPR. Maybe just not on your sibling. Thanks for your contribution to the wold sir.

RaccMan22

Wait is this actually legit instructions? I don't know cpr.

Gilbert

A work of genius per usual. Bravissimo!!

Sh0tgun_Jacks0n

She could do that to me and I still wouldn't make it I would unconsciously realize that my life was peaking there and go out on a high note

Thedoctor403

An accurate CPR tutorial is crazy.

JC R

Oh, I think I see what happened

PyroComet

Yes. Actual legit instructions.

They are actually now teaching that it is better for bystander CPR to just do chest compressions unless its an infant. Because all you're doing is pushing CO2 into the lungs and not oxygen, its potentially doing more harm than good

Khyle.

I THINK i got it spot on, i just copied another guide word for word. A lot of other posters include using a defibrillator, but this will still save a life

Dragonin

Well, alternative is suffocation or death through lack of circulation.

Cirno

Making something beneficial to society? I thought better of you Khyle

Pretty good step by step guide for CPR, but guidelines have changed. They don't recommend rescue breaths anymore unless the person died due to a lack of oxygen. The whole purpose of CPR is to artificially circulate oxygen rich blood through a person's body to keep cells, naimly the brain/other organs alive, and to do that you need to build and maintain pressure through chest compressions. If you stop chest compressions to give rescue breaths you'll lose all of the pressure that you built up. The blood should stay oxygenated for about 10-15 minutes after respiratory functions have ceased, so that should give time for EMTs or at least an AED to be brought to the scene. Anyway, great art.

Felipe

You did. The defibrillator is only if you have it available. This is what we recommend until someone else shows up. Background - I'm a triage nurse, previous firefighter/paramedic. You did good.

Thanks for the joy and trauma alike, my master

Does making something genuinely informative and helpful mean that the next thing you do will be more unhinged than usual to compensate?

"But I didn't inhale..." *Sister's side-eye intensifies*

...Nail polish... is this story not complicated and disturbing enough?! I guess not

GodEmperorStalin

Great illustration, but the rescue breathing is actually no longer recommended. I recommended two things, 1.) Double check me, I'm a rando on the internet, my word isn't law. 2.) If I am verified correctly, swap the siblings and its honestly even weirder

M.Shep

Sounds about right. While I was active duty a little over 10 years ago they told us to forego the mouth to mouth and just do chest compressions. And they also said, you know you did the compressions correctly if the ribs ended up cracked/bruised. However, because it was CLS, not to do anything on civilians unless it was absolute last resort.

Tototoron

But what if you're not wearing a shirt? Can you show that example please I'm a visual learner

Mikhael B

…And do not forget, if the person is deceased and is male, you have less than 24 hours to secure the bloodline!

James

HOLY HELL that's a lot of visual detail! Masterfully done. Love the subtle effect with the lighting. She squished that chica good. But kill one, save one, so it's an even trade right? RIGHT?!

Thom Mac

If trained in basic life support (go do it!) the recommendation is still rescue breaths if comfortable. Source: critical care doc, European/Australian guidelines.

Spillthefire6

Ashley has only Andrews best interest in mind. Thats why she killed that whore

MelancholicTrout

No you are pushing oxygen into their lungs, the problem is 1) if you don't hold their head right you push it into their stomach and 2) stopping chest compressions to give the breaths isn't good because it takes a while for the blood to actually start circulating from chest compressions, so you end up not really moving blood around so well. That's why medics have one person do compressions, one person do breathing.
