Yes - this is a duplicate of yesterday's so don't get too excited hehe! But I just wanted to test the Patreon video feature that I now have access too which means I can directly upload videos instead of through Google Drive!!For whatever reason Patreon marked me as an NSFW account? Which meant I lost access to so many features but they removed it after contacting them. So I just wanted to see if this was perhaps better than Google Drive?! If so then I'll leave this up and remove the other and keep uploading videos directly to Patreon!

google drive seems like the better option but this does seem to at least work

The patreon player has picture in picture which is among my favorite features for reaction content, though mostly for when I am watching timer based reactions.

Looks good! I'm watching on a desktop so I don't know how mobile fares, but the only difference I can see is that there doesn't seem to be a way to set quality. I'm not sure if that's because there's only one quality available or if switching is handled automatically, but hopefully that's not an issue for anyone with a slower or metered connection.

here's my theory: the video duplicate might mean that you are going through an existential crisis and trying to find the line that separates the you that is presented to the world and your true self. OR.... it might mean that the GOVERNMENT is trying to silence you so you've edited some parts off from the original video (google drive) into this new reupload, hidden under the guise of "testing out Patreon upload" Much to think and much to theory-craft. Subscribe to my non-existent Patreon for early access.

Yeah there's no option unfortunately to alter quality because it's a direct upload from my PC so it'll be the resolution that I export at which is 1080p :(

Really? I actually think this is 100% better than Google Drive solely for the fact that there won't be an issues regarding 'playtime exceeded' which is what reoccurs time and time again due to the amount of people trying to watch. Not to mention how Google Drive sometimes takes HOURS to even render a video which often messes with my schedule :/ This is quicker and accessible.

I do too. No weird rendering times. No "plays exceeded". It would be great if quality could be altered but ultimately I think this is more reliable!

I can't imagine it'll be a problem! Surely anyone going as far as paying to watch react content has a connection that can handle streaming video, right? :)

but google drive lets us downlaod the videos the nplay them back through vlc player independent of interent conenction or browser

personally i dont think quality of the video is that important as long as its not blurry or anything. I prefer it because I don't need to open the link to view the video on another tap. The playback seem pretty smooth imo, I also really like the picture-in-picture option on this player

Well what I can do is still upload them to Google Drive and put a link in the text option once it's rendered? I'm happy to still do a Google Drive link too if that works best for you!

Google Drive might indeed work better in some cases, and also there's this copyright danger which might actually force you to do timestamps insted of uncut original video, but it is what it is, and hey, it's working for me as of now, so no complains at all.

Oooh, I just tried limiting my bandwidth and it turns out there are multiple qualities available! They still don't appear to be accessible to the user, but at 3G speeds the video was an appropriately blurry mess.

As discussed, Google drive as a backup option, would probably be good. Also it's not going to be issue for a while, but Patreon video capacity is limited by the total duration. I think it was like 100 hours of content. Not sure if you'll need to start removing older videos when you reach that limit.

ok, that's even longer before you even have to think about the limit. So, you can post 5 hour AoT episode analyses for basically every episode (including the previous episodes) before the limit is near. 🤣

As a mobile watcher, I greatly appreciate the patreon video version over the other setup. A lot less glitchy and weird!
