I always thought it was pronouced La as in the music note and then kan with like a soft "a" sound ie kaan, anyway I also agree on the theory crafting, it shows your interest in the show which always makes me happy when you start to put the puzzle together! I just love a well written story!

I suppose the "can" vs "kaan" could be an accent thing? I pronounce them approximately the same but understand that different accents pronounce "can" differently. And yes to everything else :)
