The Greed/Bido scene is one of my favourites in the anime. When he remembers his old friends. I recommend rewatching it with english dub as well. Tell's you a lot about Greed's character.

The very dang weird thing about the bathtub scene is that opposed to filming someone in a tub where the transparency of the water may come through on the camera, this is drawn, it was 100% intentional, however, this is on the studio. The manga's drawing is almost identical except the water is opaque, which would be the sensible thing to do but weirdo studio execs wanting to give fanservice of underage characters is nothing new to anime unfortunately 🤢

You are completely right about the appropriateness of the Winry bath scene (both sexualizing female characters unnecessarily, and especially teens). Unfortunately, it's a really, REALLY common thing, and that was tame by most show's standards. It's something that holds the genre back as a whole. As the genre grows and improves, that's still a trope that it's slow to phase out, and many, many anime fans both accept and defend it. I think you've mostly (unsure if intentionally) chosen some of the few shows that do the best job NOT incorporating it, but I'm curious to know how you would feel about shows that are generally extremely good, but suffer majorly from this problem. I've been following for a little bit but havent commented yet. I discovered this show about 5-6 years ago and it is STILL in my top 3 favorite anime. I love everything about it. That being said yeah, the small bathtub scene was unnecessary, however.....there are so many worse scenes from other shows. The "fanservice" was a general reason i had stayed away from anime at first, because most of it is unnecessary. However, quite a lot of shows portray scenes like this, and yes, with underage characters. I'm more used to it having seen many media over the years now, but be aware there are more out there like this. This was very tame. ANYWAY love your thoughts and analysis through this series! I don't know where the other shows stand on your favorites but it seems like this one will be up there. The Greed scene is one of my favorites. Do you ever think about why Greed originally left the rest of the group? Of course we don't know his entire history, but there is something different about him compared to the other sins. I'm not very religious, but i can understand the concept of Greed. It is an overwhelming desire to WANT something for yourself. He is the embodiment of a being that desires everything, which differs from the idea of serving someone elses desires (in this case, Fathers). You can also think about WHY Father recreated him and erased HIS memories, however when he did the same with Gluttony, he kept HIS memories intact...and do you think eventually, history would repeat itself, and Greed would leave the group once again? Is he really a DIFFERENT version of Greed, or just Greed who has yet to discover his own desires? "I am Greed the Avaricious, i cannot just abandon my possessions!" and yet, by refusing to claim these memories as his OWN, he is abandoning those who were dear to him, and therefore, abandoning who he is. That's why I LOVE Ling's argument with him. I also think Ling is the perfect person to be fused with Greed; he understands him more than others might. If you can't tell, I love his character lol. TBH I love all of the characters in this show.

Winry bathing scene is absolutely fan service though I think by this time she's closer to 18 if that makes you feel better at all. I agree it adds nothing to the story unlike another future scene which is far funnier IMO. Anime gotta anime sometimes. At least it's not the Seven Deadly Sins, I had to stop watching that.
