1. I think the tool Tanjiro is stabbed with is an awl? I have no idea why the conductor (and the kids from earlier) had that as a weapon. 2. Decapitating a real life train is way easier! Just disconnect the engine from the cars! 3. I like your take on the meanings of the dreams. However, I see 2 things different. I think Zenitsu's is less aspirational and more his actual alter ego that takes over when he sleeps. When the kid goes into his subconscious, it encounters the part of his consciousness that is the competent (and violent) part. Rengoku's I think might actually just be a memory he revisits in his dream. It's something that happened in the past (it's the event where he told his father he became a Hashira, something that must have actually happened some time ago at some point), and I get the sense that the encounter with his younger brother did probably play out like that. 4. Love you bringing up what a great role model Tanjiro is again, especially how you'd feel like you did something right as a parent if your kid aspired to be like him. Fully agree. Question though: would it not be thematically stronger for Tanjiro to have empathy for everyone EXCEPT Muzan, showing how truly despicable Muzan is that not even Tanjiro could have empathy for him? Rather than Tanjiro being able to show sympathy even for him?

Oh, and side note, when you do get to My Hero Academia, I think you will find the main character of the show shares many qualities with Tanjiro in another positive-role-model way. Even though their characters do have distinct differences

I think thematically it would be stronger but I think for Muzan to be the way that he is there has to be something that drove him to this point and Tanjiro is very much not exempt from feeling for others. Even if he does find empathy for Muzan I don't think it would devalue anything but would rather empathise just how strong Tanjiro's moral fortitude and kindness is that it can even extend to the man that harmed his family. With Zenitsu - we agree. When I said aspirational it's because that's what he aspires to achieve which we know from 1 x 19 as it is a play by play of the exact characteristics he laments not having. I was saying it's Zenitsu's aspiration for himself without realising that what is playing out is WHO he actually already is. He just doesn't believe in that part of himself yet so therefore it's a 'dream'. With Rengoku - I think it is both memory and dream. The dream shows us parts of ourselves that we want or moments we wish we could return to. That moment of Rengoku with his younger brother can be both memory and dream in that he aspires to return to that so that he can be with his brother once more. I definitely believe such a scene played out but I do think the fact that's what he sees in his dream is because there's an intense desire to relive that moment.

I love how you pointed out Rengoku's confidence AND trust. He's confident, but not cocky. He knows his own capabilities very well, and based on his brief interaction with our boys, knows he can put his trust and faith in them. The fact that he had Tanjiro and Inosuke handle the demon instead of himself speaks to what an amazing mentor he is. He knows they are capable, AND this will greatly improve their own skillset as Demon Slayers. If he thought for a moment they were not on par to face this, he wouldn't have suggested it. I love him so much 🥰 AND THE TEAMWORK look at the boys gooooo. Look how they've improved since their last fight on the Spider Family mountain. And Tanjiro brought out the Fire Breathing for the second time 😭 he even NAMED the move: Clear Blue Sky. Boy is growing!! What a nasty train crash though....we'll see how everyone fairs. As to your thoughts on how to format the Arcs....this is why the whole movie to episode format is confusing. I guess to me, it would make the most sense to just number it as the platform does; Season 2, 1-7 Mugen Train, 8-whatever for Entertainment District. That makes the most sense numerically AND search-wise when people go to search your videos. Lastly; I hope you watch the end credits for the last episode of the arc! Since it was originally a movie it shows some artwork and great music.

I have seen on youtube only reactors who watched the movie were doing 2x1 from entertainment district arc, others continued with 2x8 2x9 and so on. So i think it's alright if you do this, but people will understand either way. Ohhhhh i can't wait for tomorrow's episode!!! We get to meet one of my favourite characters!!! And oh mannnn whole week before 2x7 , but it's going to be worth the wait) Gigachad-Nezuko-chan is the best! Imagine if we can have her to fight Muzan... He won't last even one minute 😁💪🏻

Oh man oh man next episode is coming fast, be prepared! I absolutely love all of your interpretations of each character and can’t wait to see your reaction to the next episode!

All the people with cleft chins are crying rn, jkjk I think its best to have the entertainment arc eps as 2x8 to 2x18, but thats just my opinion. Its what I see the most when I search for reactions to these episodes, so I feel like it would be better for Youtube's sake

I have a hard time picking a favorite, too, but Inosuke definitely makes the list. The number of times I'm watching and shouting, "NEVER CHANGE, INOSUKE!" <3

I never saw someone starting over with a new arc. I think just continuing would be better. Algorithms easily suggest the next number to view for someone. You watch 2x6 and if you finish you get 2x7 suggested. Not sure how it would figure out which 2x2 it should suggest if there are 2 different ones. Could be confusing and slightly bigger barrier for a viewer. I had a few instance over the years where I was annoyed enough about the algorithm not suggesting the correct next episode and not in the mood to manually open the creator’s channel, searching the episode manually. Especially if it happened more then once. From my experience working in IT it’s generally practice to lower the barrier for a “customer” because there is always a part of the potential customers you loose with the smallest of possible annoyances.

Yes, logically this is the way for me too. I believe it is also more internationally recognized way. There are plenty of shows out there that contain multiple arcs within a season but still labels episodes in a continuous S2xE1-E18 or whatever.

Your discussion at the end almost brought me to tears 🥹🥹 not many people understand how a book, a show, a movie, a drawing or any other form of art can actually really change and help a person!!! I have many examples in my personal life about the shows that helped me move forward and the lessons I learned from characters that aren't even real!!! Tanjiro is one of those characters and many others from demon slayer that I can't mention for spoiler reasons, but I'm glad to see the way you talk and analyze one of my favorite shows Shophie 💝💝 (Also, idk if you're getting recommendations for future shows, but I think you would have many things to talk about in Violet Evergarden💜💜)
