Apothecary Diaries OP / ED for anyone that has watched them pls answer (Patreon)

Should I avoid watching them for fear of there being too much symbolism that it could spoil S3 because we all know I over-analyse?

I kinda wanna watch but tad worried that with Apothecary Diaries being so heavy with symbolism and foreshadowing that might extend to the OP and ED's too >.>

Id say the symbolism and foreshadowing is on par with season 2's openings and endings.

There's one bit that is fairly on the nose. There's alot of characters interaction in it. Personally I think you'd be fine though. Although I don't pick up on symbolism sometimes

Since you like staying completely spoiler-free, maybe it's best you don't watch them. It explicitly shows several character designs from future chapters and settings, and as a light novel reader, this is basically the opening with the most symbolism.

There are definitely things that hint at some future developments, they are on the level of "if you know it, you will notice it" so many people might overlook them but with how deeply you analyze stuff there will be some minor plot points you are very likely to guess from the OP. It wont be anything super critical but if you want to stay spoiler free you shouldn't watch it. The ED has 2 spoilers over all, it shows a location and it hints very obviously at one thing that will happen, though it's nothing ground breaking or new. The rest of it is all just about stuff that has already happened.

I pickedup too much just based on context clues on where the season is going and who the playera are. The music is gorgeous tho

I’d say if you don’t want ANY spoilers…wait. Some people leave it to the last episode of the cour, or season, and watch the OP/ED then. Thats something you could do! Or, if you haven’t watched the other seasons’ yet, you could put them all together and watch them at once haha

I'm bad at catching hints from media (that's why I'm watching you), and even I caught some things in this OP and ED, so I'd recommend watching them at the end of the series lol

I'd say hold off on watching it until the next cour / second part of the season but it would be great to see you react to the previous OP and ED's if you haven't already

I’m almost caught up with the light novels and in light of knowing what is to come, there are definitely spoilers in the OP. If I have gone in blindly I might have caught a few of the clues, but I don’t sweat spoilers so it would not have bothered me. I think with the way you tend to watch shows, it’s better to avoid the OP/ED for now, especially if you want to go into this season completely blind.

I have watched them and I could theorize a bunch of things, as a not-novel reader. I'm sure you would do better than me. However, in my opinion theres 2 types of openings: the ones that plain spoil you with scenes that will happen later, and the ones that give you symbolism and scenery without contexto, which only becomes a spoiler once you already reached that part. I think this one is more the second type

I was just watching the opening and realized a major reveal. I always have the attitude that the people making the show expect us to see the opening so it's not really a spoiler but it is definitely possible to get information you may not want.

Best way to watch opening is to look at the pretty colours and turn your brain off (that’s how I do it)
