Such a fun episode. It brings us back to the comedic side of the show while still giving a little tug at the heartstrings for Damian. And I loved the look on Anya's face when she read his mind about his father noticing him. There is a theory that, because of their harsh childhoods, neither Loid nor Yor know what normal is. When confronted with something most people would be in awe of, (i.e., her inhuman strength), Loid simply accepts it as normal and goes on his way. I myself believe that he has such a rigid, calculating mind that it can't accept something so unbelievable and blanks it out. This could also be why he can't make the connection with Anya and her telepathy. In his narrow worldview such a thing can't exist, so the idea never takes root.

I just love that they got Hiroki Yasumoto to do the voice of Bill. 😆 EDIT: Haha, I forgot he also does the voice of the dad. 14:58 is a Dragon Ball Z reference, the background is clearly the planet Namek. 😆

Bill (6) is definitely the highlight of this episode haha! Glad you’re also loving the more lighthearted episodes with the children! I think it’s a nice way to show what Loid/Twilight is fighting for with his mission. I know Damian can be mean to Anya but he’s also under a lot of pressure so he can’t really be honest with his feelings.

I like we get to see Damian and his two friends a bit more. They are bratty, but his friends does care for him, and I think it is easy to have sympathy for a young boy that gets overshadowed by his older brother, just wanting to be seen by his father.
