Honest feedback required from you fellas out there!

So YouTube demographics have told me that 80% of my audience are male...(not a surprise I must admit haha!) so I wanted to make a video soon catering specifically for you! But....I'm stuck......and need your help!

What male focussed role plays or non-roleplays would you like to see me make? (YT safe of course) 

Shaving and suit fitting are naturally reliable options, but is there anything different you can think of specifically male orientated you would like to see?

I’m 80% male (I think), and I’m oddly fascinated with a woman’s daily hair and makeup routine. No guy has ever had to think about such things, yet every woman must go through a whole rigamarole every morning. Isn’t that fascinatingly weird? Or maybe I just wanted an excuse to use the word “rigamarole”.

So tending to wounds is a male sort of thing. Since you like more vintage things, a ww2 hospital role play or something like that maybe. A wife gretting a husband and caring for him after a long days work. Otherwise positive affirmations tailored to men. Just a couple ideas

And if you want to be a bit more “aggressive” a “organising the lingerie drawer” type of video maybe? Not sure how YouTube algorithm would take that though. Used to love it when my GFs were doing that while I was laying in bed

Must admit I’m surprised by the gender split - I thought that asmr would appeal to both sexes. Given that the BBC have stopped reading out the classified football results on the radio, why not do so, ASMR-style?

A girlfriend/wife cooking roleplay, either you cook for or with the viewer, followed by a sweet casual dinner together. Caring for the viewer who is in the bathtub or other way round. Not sure how YT friendly this is tho lol

First of all it is cool that you are doing this, thanks. My only comment is that whatever role play you are doing, don't let the content take away from the "chill" factor of good ASMR. Sometimes I'm watching, but sometimes I'm just listening and trying to get to sleep. (Bad) examples include haircut with loud / distracting scissors / clippers, doctors visit with loud / distracting putting on rubber gloves, etc. But you probably already know this because you are pretty awesome at ASMR, which is why it is a pleasure to support you on Patreon :-)

Honestly I'd like a sort of rambles kind of video. Like an "an old friends catching up" kind of RP. Lots of people seem to like GF or wifey RP's but I don't really go for. Now if it's a more open ended kind of RP like shaving, personal attention, ASMR in my lap, taking care of you (in bed, couch etc.), Lying next to you, haircut RP, cooking breakfast/dinner for you (I've only ever seen one of those tbh lol). Then I would love to see any of these as well.

Hey great question. A rather interest number, is that about normal for an ASMR professional? I suppose I enjoy ASMR as it helps me power down at the end of the day, reduce anxiety, clear my mind, enjoy the now- I suppose that’s why I like simple things like reading books, medical exams, haircuts, shaving etc. I also like the naturalness you being to all that you so- laughing, smiles, quirky comments etc. so something new? I like things simple so breathing/reassurance ( I think you know why)- maybe virtual tour of some place, or some time piece day 1920’s I think your new haircut would really work. Anyway my thoughts.

For me it was allways about the Sounds only. As long as you can fall asleep to it, it's a great Video for me. Low Dynamic Range so my Ears don't get blasted 😂 and I'm all in. Visual Triggers can be awesome if they aren't too distracting and fit the overall Vibe. So for me it's not really about the Topic of the Video. It Can be a Makeup Tutorial as long as it triggers the Tingles hehe. So like others said, I wouldn't be to focused on the Gender specific Topics. In that regard I rly like the Way Maria (Gentlewhispering) does it.

I'm a huge fan of your Dr Hastings roleplays, so a men's health roleplay would be a logical choice for me. Something like physiotherapy would also be fitting, if you think that that is something you could do...

Well Dr. Hastings is my favorite character of yours and I had couple ideas come to mind. 1.) ER doctor treating a patient for a work related injury in a job that demographically is skewed towards men. Examples: Construction or Firefighter. 2.) Hair loss treatment or hair restoration procedure consultation or follow-up. Depending on the treatment maybe even a video performing the procedure. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection is an outpatient procedure which I have had for hair loss and was awake for.

I’ll offer the opinion that what men like is that you’re an attractive, pleasant female and it doesn’t much matter what exactly you’re doing. I’ve seen ASMR artists want to make a “for men” video and drag their boyfriend on stage which, here’s a tip, that’s NOT what we want to see 🤣

How about a bartender? I have seen a few of them and they are quite fun. You could feature drink making/pouring, gossib type talking and i'm sure a warm lit background would make great visuals. Try watching a few from other people. I think theres plenty opportunity for nice sounds too (change, glass, liquid, talking, wooden surfaces).

I really enjoy task triggers/follow instructions. It really works well on me when a female asmrtist is stern about giving instructions and gives positive reinforcement afterwards. Also I’ve seen other asmrtist do a “men’s” doctors exam. I’m sure it’s difficult with YouTube rules but maybe if you were very technical about hernia and prostate exams you could get around it. Just the explanation and putting the patient at ease would be relaxing.

I might well be alone in my opinion, but I've been watching, or more accurately listening to your content for several years (I am generally trying to either sleep on a plane or nap). I've noticed the phenomenon of ASMR happening to me for decades now. Well before it had a name, and I personally love videos with natural sounds of the world in them -most recently your 'tea with a friend' video struck my fancy and made my 'airplane' download playlist. I sub to you and others because of the quality of your voice and believable acting. I'll of course admit you are incredibly easy on the eyes, and you've rightfully cleavaged...er, cleaved a new market segment recently ;), and I'm all for it. All that said, I *hate* the 'so and so takes care of you' stuff. I find them really cringy. A couple of people have mentioned bartender/mixologist content, and that would be great! Fizzy sounds, gentle glass clinking, and a wealth of conversation topics. Heck, you could make a new recurring character, and definitely target it towards your major demo without violating anything. It would still be creative and fun.

Physio therapist where you treat an old injury maybe? Maybe a bit like in the alexander style videos. A personal trainer that measures you "progress", could be in the flirty style. That all that comes to mind for the moment.

I agree with others, you are covering most already. Have you done a holiday booking - adventure, sports, escape to the wilds? Psychologist checks for suitability for space mission? Debrief for return from space - throw in increasing worry about patient not being human anymore? A video explaining the offside rule? lol

I kind of like the bartender idea. Maybe a guy comes in wanting to drink away sorrows of a recent breakup and you could try to cheer him up, give some comforting words, or give him some advice as a woman that might help out. Hell we might all learn something. LOL

So, this isn't a topic suggestion, but some feedback about type of content, because I'm worried you are thinking about changing it to be more flirty/sexy, which I don't think I'd like. I hope you don't mind the unsolicited comment on this. Also, if I am wrong about you thinking about this, do ignore the below. I like some sexy sort of ASMR-like content, but I also like relaxing or tingly ASMR content (i.e. actual ASMR, not sexy content in a sort of ASMR style), and that is what I am looking for in your videos - the relaxing ASMR content. You are the best at this, and I really like your videos. While it is possible to be flirty in a fun way and still relaxing (as your videos often are), too flirty or sexy content stops being relaxing generally, at least for me. I basically only watch ASMR content featuring women, and most are good looking, but this isn't because I want it to be sexy. I find myself more comfortable having my hair cut (which I find very relaxing), for example, by a woman, than by a man. It isn't because I want someone I am attracted to to be cutting my hair. I think it is because, subconsciously, I am never as relaxed around men who I am not close friends with as I am around a woman that I am not trying to attract and who isn't being overly flirty with me. This is irrational and I think stems from a caveman part of my brain, but I think I am always slightly guarded around men (unless they are close friends) in a way I am not around women, so if I am having my hair cut by a woman, I am more relaxed generally (but if she was being really flirty or I was sufficiently attracted to her, this would be different). Just as the threshold for uncomfortably flirty is higher in a video than real life, I think the same is true of someone being uncomfortably attractive - a smoking hot barber would not be relaxing in real life, but a video of a smoking hot person doing a haircut or shave is relaxing as long as they aren't also being super flirty or dressing provocatively. It would be easy for you to make content that I stopped finding relaxing and started finding a turn on instead, if you aimed for that, since you are smoking hot (if you don't mind me saying), but strange as it sounds, I'd rather you didn't - I like your content because I find it relaxing, and that wouldn't be relaxing any more. I think it is no surprise that sexy gets clicks, and I'm certainly easily drawn in by someone scantily clad and sexy, but it is rarely very relaxing. Similarly, I think a pretty face makes me more likely to click, and I suspect that is part of what made me click on your first video, but it is how you make the videos that I value, and I think making them more flirty than they already are would make them less relaxing to me. As for topic: I like the classic ones like hair cut, shave, etc. I don't think the topic is super important TBH - it is a hook to hang the content on. I've found all sorts of topics relaxing, but the most ASMR like relaxing thing that happens for me in real life is a hair cut or shave at the barbers. It is super relaxing because just enough is going on to keep my mind from thinking about other things, but it doesn't require mental effort from me, and I am stuck there so don't feel guilty about not doing something else. I find SCUBA diving relaxing because of the right amount going on and inability to switch to something else, but a haircut has the added physical sensation I find relaxing too (but less interesting). I think a whispered tour of something could be pretty relaxing. I think it is mostly the soft voice or whispers, the relaxed ambience, that makes videos relaxing, and imagining some sort of physical sensation makes it feel more engaging sometimes. Anyway, that is my essay on ASMR videos and relaxing situations.

Oh, not a men specific thing, but I often find watching videos of cats dozing off relaxing. I'm not sure how cooperative Tibbs is, but I bet a video of you petting her and her dozing off would be great, if she would cooperate. Other videos I find relaxing to fall asleep to that aren't ASMR ones: video of planes (why fighter jet engines would be soothing I have no idea, but they seem to be, I guess because they cover other sounds), steam trains, train on rails click-clack sounds, soft-spoken reading, predictable/repetitive motion of things like Newton's cradles. Not sure if anything themed around any of those/with those in is viable.

Role play is fun, but I love soft whispered content with some other trigger in audio such as brushing fabrics, low frequency type crinkly sounds instead of brighter crinkles etc! As far as male oriented stuff, maybe talk motorcycles, working out, nutrition, movies like top gun, John wick stuff LOL

I’m really not sure as I tend to like any content that ‘works’ for me. What about buying a vintage car? 300sl Gullwing and a DB5. Not sure how you’d frame it or make it work, maybe put in some history of the cars? Yes, I was just looking at some sale sites. And no, not because I could afford them. 😄 Your ASMR does ‘work’ for me best. It’s the voice, whisper style etc. that’s why I’m here, but yes I will admit you are easy on the eye.
