SPEND 2 HOURS IN A WALK IN FREEZER?

or

SPEND 2 HOURS IN A SAUNA?

BUT - you do it in the same outfit...which is jeans and a t-shirt

MY ANSWER:

....this one was hard for me as I hate extreme temperatures (who doesn't hahaha!)....but I think I would have to choose the sauna, as I don't cope well in very cold weather where I'm not wearing like a million layers! I do love the sauna, but have never spent more than 10 minutes at a time in one......but I think I can cope better in heat than I can the cold!

Walk in freezer for me. I wear a t shirt and shorts all year round so will pick the freezer option

Ben

I’d pick the freezer as it’s much easier to maintain body heat than it is to expel it

Unhand Me Priest

Being from Scotland I'm in the cold most of the year so give me the sauna. 🥵

FermatSim

As someone who has worked in cold rooms and walk in freezers (with proper clothing of course) I cannot imagine being in one for 2hrs in a T-shirt... what sort of Sauna are we talking about? 2 hrs in a Finnish one would kill me, regardless whether I'd be naked or wearing jeans... 😅

Josh

Hard same with having a low cold tolerance and a higher heat resistance. It's strange, since I'm from the Pacific NW in the US - lots of rain, overcast 3/4ths of the year - but I suspect my accessory could be partly to do with it (White, sure, but also Black and American Native).

Indru

In the freezer I'd likely end up with wounds on my hands due to dry skin, not to mention lung problems. Sauna all the way, I'd just be a little bit hotter than usual. :)

Freezer for sure, would be milder than a lot of winter weather here.

SevenStars

We just finished a new freezer at my work it's huge! But I'd rather sweat it out in this case 😅

Digby

2 hours in a sauna with no way to cool down seems much more dangerous. In a freezer you could do a lot to keep warm.

Ceryk

Both sound like a death sentence to me to be perfectly honest, especially since I have spent time in both... If I was allowed to control the temperature of the sauna, I might pick that. If not, might pick the freezer.

Charles

Ive never done well in the summer heat, so there's no way I'd last in that sauna. Freezer it is.

Rudy Rodarte

I'm from Texas. Outside is a sauna like 6 months out of the year. 😎

Alistair Shaw

I hate the heat, and I'd rather be in a sauna. Walk in fridges are bad enough. 2 hours in a freezer would suck

Lars Mehlhorn

Actually nothing of both because I like to dress warmly in winter. But if I have to choose then I would rather freeze in a freezer. I was in a sauna resort last year and some of them were so hot that I couldn't stand a minute in it. 🥵 But it just occurred to me that when I have severe hypothermia, I also feel a sensation of extreme heat. At which point does this happen at minus 18 degrees? Within 2 hours?

As someone who worked in the frozen section of a grocery store for 3 and a half years, the walk in freezer would not end well. You had to bundle up in a heavy coat just to do some daily inventory for 10-15 minutes. When we did out yearly inventory, I was bad in the freezer for up to an hour at a time. I wore thermal underwear, a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, sweater, jacket, gloves, hat and wore 2 layers of jeans and I was still cold

Nick

I don't deal with being too hot at all well and hate it, but 2 hours in a walk-in freezer could easily be fatal whereas 2 hours in a sauna is much less likely to be.

Samuel

I used to spend way longer in a freezer at work, it wasn't too bad, but that might just be because I'm hot blooded and take cold well.
