Bloody stones on the motorway! This baby gave me a heart attack! Thought the whole windshield was going to cave in ๐Ÿ˜‚

Luckily my insurance covers chips like this so itโ€™s getting fixed as we speak ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Has your windshield ever cracked like this? Iโ€™m sure some of you have some epic stories!!

Mr. Ide

My dad had a full suitcase land on the windshield in the 1990โ€™s while parked beside a hotel in Paris ๐Ÿ˜†

I work at a bmw dealership and I've seen bottles smashed against windshields, baseball bats, golf balls, bird strikes (like how fast most you've been driving for a bird to crack a windshield), I've seen windshields that are barely glued on that we could just push of and that's just some if the things I've seen ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜‚

I was in a car with my dad years ago (early 90's) when a bird hit the windshield and it left a huge fracture up the drivers side of the window. Luckily it was a work car so my dad didn't have to pay for the new windshield.

Taking a midnight trip to Dennyโ€™s with some friends many years ago when the semi in front of us had a blowout. The rubber managed to obliterate the windshield, before a combination of factors dragged it along the back windows, scratching them, and messed up the rear window before landing on the ground I had to be helped out of the wreckage I was shaking so bad

In Australia in 2006 myself and my 3 mates decided it would be fun to drive from Sydney to Alice Springs. We hired a minivan from a company called Rentawreck. Day 1. Ran over glass on the road. 2 punctures. Day 2. Hit a dingo or a large dog. 1 headlight busted Day 3. Full on hit a kangaroo which obliterated the windscreen. It spilled its joey out of the pouch and hopped off. We picked up the joey, which was still alive and drove it 300km to the next town. Managed to get windscreen replaced in same town. Day 4. Car is now very poorly. Only running on 3 cylinders. None of the dials work anymore as entire dashboard is full of sand. Pulled by the cops for speeding. End of day 4 we arrive in Alice Springs and sell what's left of the van to a scrap merchant. Fly back to Sydney.

While riding with my parents while younger, dad had to dodge an entire dual wheel assembly that came off an oncoming truck. Miraculously the car and semi behind us also didn't get hit. Myself, I was driving my 'danger Ranger' a few years ago in winter, wondering 'why's this idiot in front slowing down, the roads are perfectly bare-' and then I hit a patch of knobby ice and started fishtailing wildly at 90km/h. Still very proud that I didn't shit my pants on that one.

On a recent road trip I had a car in front of my run over a large chunk of a tire which kicked it up in the air and back at me. I very barely avoided it. Would have really screwed up my car.

I had a similar incident during the winter. The next day before I could get it fix it had stared to snow. On the way to work the small nick started to crack all across my windshield. It was terrifying haha

Years ago I was driving with my dad and a tractor came out of a field and into the road. He was hogging the whole road and my dad saw that rocks were flying off his STEEL WHEELS and he started shouting "MOVE OVER! MOVER OVER NICHOLAS!!" Now... I didn't see the rocks I was more terrified thst this idiot was hogging the road. I wanted to back up out of his way! But I moved way over on the shoulder and went by. My dad was so fricken nervous and then WHACK!!! A stone hit the windshield and left a HUGE crack. My dad was furious!!! He made me pull over and we switched seats. He was gonna track down the Mennonite driving the tractor and get him to pay for the windshield. But we went back and there were 3 tractors out there and we couldn't decide who it was, they all had the same equipment on and looked the same. It was a bad day. And a terrible 1st experience driving for me!๐Ÿ˜…

Not mine, I am super paranoid about keeping distance from people. My mom has gotten some chops though and they do scare the shit out of you.

My first car I went through 3 windshields in 5 years. I had a lengthy highway commute everyday and well I guess I was just unlucky.

Yeh happened to mine a few years ago it was only 3 months old they came out and changed the windscreen then had to come back 2 days later and change it again due to fitting the wrong one as my car was an Audi and itโ€™s got sensors everywhere lol

Many moons ago I was a biker and a stone hit my visor (brown pants moment) another great reason to always ride with the visor down!
