Hi guys! 

So Patreon has introduced (finally) a new billing feature where they bill Patrons on the day they signed up rather than the 1st of each month. 

This is a feature which I have to manually change my end so once I do it there is no turning back! 

So I wanted to ask you; Would you prefer to be billed the day you signed up or on the 1st of each month? 

Let me know!

1st of the month makes it easier for me to know when things are happening and all my patreon accounts get charged at the same time.

1st of the month. My charges get grouped and it aligns with one of my paychecks

Interesting, I had no idea this was a controversy. I assumed everyone wanted to be billed the day they signed up so that they would be prorated for when they signed up or scaled down their pledges. I didn't realize there was any advantage to the 1st of the month.

Not to make your life difficult, but I never agreed with paying full amount for less than 30 days. They don't prorate or anything. Full amount 1st of month even if you signed up 4 days before that (I know, you have a warning plastered all over your wall and it's very appreciated). Ofc I only have this one account/membership so I'm not all adamant about it either lol

For me, clearly billing on the day seems better, for you I would say the 1rst, because personally I have zero patience and subscribed many many times at the end of the month 😅

Day you sign up makes the most sense to me. -It removes the incentive to wait until a new month starts to sign up. You get a full month no matter when you start. -It lets you pick the day of the month you’re billed. The 1st might be harder for more people because of rent being due.
