Just as I sat down for lunch!!!! Can’t wait to watch - editing to say I hate everyone for being against this just because of the morality, it was a mess when this was live, and it still pisses me off now, because I’d much rather morally questionable (not in my eyes) than boys in school, kissing like dead fish

Chris Mackenzie

Amazing! I had just gotten into bed and was looking for something to watch when I saw this episode drop. I'm still a little unsure about this show, but I'm willing to give it some more time. Pity pride is almost officially done for the year. But hey we still have AWST, the Olympics and Heartstopper to come. Thanks guys and have a great weekend.

Lisa

I’m in Laos rn 🇱🇦 gonna take the mini bus back to Thailand 🇹🇭 and RUN to 7-eleven, buy some snack, get home, get in some comfy clothes and watch this video. 5555555

Nini L

"I think the mom and dad like the letter K." Me: waiting for them to realize what Dad's name is.

Joanna Kowalska

You must watch love in the air and/or cutie pie. I think you might like it

Frances

Im loving this reaction. But Alex, we could only see half of your beautiful face 🥺

suga93hoodie

KinnPorsche and IWTV on the same day?! It's a Pride Month miracle! <3

Sara Nissen

Yes it's gonna get really questionable and dark at times, and I hope Patreon doesn't give you problems for some of the NC scenes(since most people wanted you to watch the La Forte version), because I think, I read somewhere that for certain stuff the channel has to be marked as 18+, but we'll see, when we get there. And yes in thai Aunt and Uncle can also be used as a term of endearment or sign of respect often for someone older than you. And many BLs have product placement, some more subtle than others 😆

Nini L

So just to clarify: The three brothers are Tankhun (oldest) Kinn (middle) Kim (youngest)

Natalie A

Ok so you guys are really viewing this through a western lens. In asian BL being gay is very normalised, seriously you are usually in the minority if you are straight. They also don't often have a full on statement from characters about their identity it usually just is. Caveat that this does depend on the show and country but in the case of KP it is a very queer show in regards to most of its characters. I'm so pumped for you to explore more of this genre. Also I gotta tell you about the insanity that was the production of this show. First thing to know is that Kinn's actor Mile is insanely rich, like comes from one of the wealthiest families in Thailand rich. And Kinnporsche the show is based off books where the character of Kinn is kinda based off Mile (Millionaire playboy) in real life. So apparently one day Mile is bored and curious about acting, and when you're rich I guess you decide hey i'm gonna audition for a show that is basically a gay mafia fanfic of my life. So he of course gets the role and then like hand picks Apo to be Porsche cause he met him 10 years ago in college and thought he was hot (Even though Apo didn't really want to get back into acting cause he had bad experiences in the industry and was living in the US at the time). And then the show gets dropped because of budget reasons. So then Mile buys the rights and with a buddy of his turns Be On Cloud, which was some tiny talent agency, into a whole production studio and throws money to get the best acting coaches and film production people money can buy. They recast a few parts and start from scratch. Basically he runs the whole show like a crazy passion project spearheading decisions with Apo at his side. All the while doing this during a pandemic. Like...he is a millionaire and instead of buying his 10th mansion this man decided to make a gay mafia fanfiction TV show of his life. I'm leaving stuff out but if you look into everything its pretty crazy.

Not everyone is gay in BL, and I feel this statement may create false expectations for people going into BL for the first time. Rather you could say queerness is normalized in BL and having multiple men who likes men is the norm for this genre, but certainly not every case!

suga93hoodie

Can't wait for them to find out what Tankhun means by "fun".

Ruth May

I feel like I have aged by 10 years anticipating this and now I can’t watch it until this evening! 🤯 Thanks, guys, I can’t wait to watch it- but I will have to!

Ruth May
>>141995745

Yeah,it’s a pretty wild and fascinating story about how all this happened..one factor being Mile remembering Apo for nearly 10 years from seeing him on a catwalk when they were both modelling, way before acting was on Mile’s agenda. He’s described this experience since, in various interviews, and then they bumped into each other at the gym and Mile subsequently went on a mission to get Apo cast as Porsche. And who can blame him? They both talk about this as a combination of an ‘Oh! destiny!’ moment and a ‘Wow! He’s so handsome! What can I do to make this happen?’ moment. Since KinnPorsche, they have gone on to make a Thai historical drama together, the sequel to which is pending, as well as becoming arguably one of the most powerful and influential couples in Thailand, if nor Asia.

veri✨

hahahaha I think Thai drama acting and style is just very very different than what you’re probably used to watching hahaha the blend serious acting with camp and soap opera and eccentric craziness all the time ahahahah

Audrey Gunn

Okay, Tankhun is the oldest brother, Kinn is the middle brother and Kim is the youngest brother. Tankhun was kidnapped when he was younger which has made him go the way he is and he refuses to leave the house unless he absolutely has to preferring to stay in his room watching series on the tv. He should really be the next in charge but their dad put Kinn in charge because of the reasons above. Kim doesn’t live in the compound, he went to live his own life away from the family, although he does do the odd job when his dad asks as he has a special talent for dealing with the more ‘dangerous’ people. The minor family consists of the dad and two brothers, Vegas , the oldest and Macau, the youngest. Vegas will hold quite a role in following episodes but we don’t really see much more of Macau. I’m so glad that you’re liking it and watching it with us. No spoliers but things start to pick up in the next episode..

Lizeth Morpal

Finally! I was waiting for this chapter, your reaction is incredible, believe me each chapter surpasses the previous one, here I will be waiting for the reaction to chapter 3.

MollAMill

I have to say i love watching someone react to something i've already watched. Love to see what other people will think happens in the show...

Anon

Guys, they watch Mary & George and Interview With The Vampire. I think they can handle morally questionable stuff

Aster

With Mr Tankhun there is a lot of depth behind his character that explains the acting and makes it very impressive

Natalia Karyaka
>>142020058

Totally agree. And I like how the show unfolds it in little detail. And remembering that Tankhun is the oldest when he does all that is just the cherry on top))

Michael Craig

I thought Josh would appreciate how much coffee Kinn drinks this episode after he mentioned how much alcohol he consumed in the first episode. Also, he's reading a coffee table book about coffee when Porsche brings him a cup. Also, Alex's rant on hot beverages has to be the most British thing I've heard all month. Reminds me of how Americans are about ice cubes... And Pete's lack of pants? I had a roommate who did his daily yoga in the living room naked and I thought it was a similar sort of thing? I'm all for more casually nudity...

Michael Craig

I forgot that this episode introduces my favorite character in the whole show...the Bread! Perfect product placement: memorable and if I ever saw it in my store, I'm buying it.

Tankhun is one of my all time favorite character. Also he is the oldest son. 1. Tankhun/Khun 2. Kinn 3. Kim

Apple

Moving on to Ep 2 after finishing your Ep 1. the shows these days have good stories and it always dont have to be a coming out story. there are heaps of other shows great like this from Korea, Japan and Taiwan. I would definitely recommend The Eighth Sense and I Feel You Linger in the Air after this.

D.A. Rowley

I love their reaction to Tankhun when he first entered the story. Tankhun is played by a brilliant actor called Tong Thanayut Thakoonauttaya. He was also played the older brother In TharnType.

Alanna Smith

glad you both are liking the series so far

Kennia

happy for this new reaction omg

Grace

The guy with the good fashion is the older brother we haven’t seen the younger brother yet

It is very typical for Thai BL (and GL too) for multiple characters to be queer. It's common to have either multiple main couples or a main couple and one or two side couples, all of which are queer. Nowadays it's starting to get more common to have like a gay main couple and a side lesbian couple, but that really depends on the series. Also nowadays we are starting to have so much diversity, like just in Thai BL this year we have had our first m/m/m throuple, an asexual and a pansexual character (in different series I mean). It really depends on the reries whether they will talk about sexual and romantic identities and real life issues or if it's escapist fantasyworld where the queerness is shown everywhere but not really discussed. Also it really depends on the series whether it's very cutesy and romantic with only a kiss or two or whether it's very raunchy, with a lot of quite explicit sexual content. And ahh so nice to get my favourite characters in this episode, Tankhun, Vegas, and Pete <3

And if you have been unfortunate enough to be on Tik-tok yesterday or today, more craziness re. MileApo and maybe no Shine after all…

Buse Demir

my biggest dilemma is Hate or adore Vegas

Joshua Shane

Had to join for the BL content! I really enjoy BL and newer GL and each country has their own style of storytelling. Even straight Thai shows have a different sense of timing, humor etc. Same with Japanese and Korean. I try to look into each country/culture and adjust my media expectations.

Joshua Shane
>>142130662

Korean BLs, since they are newer sometimes suffer from budget and short seasons/episodes, so they have to try and fit so much storytelling in, but of course Korea has some of the best television content on the planet.

Onesan Talks

so excited for your journey to BL and maybe GL in the future, but I did have the same reaction , why Kinnporsche LOL , it's not exactly the greatest first dive, it's like dipping your toe vs being pushed into the deep water face first

Hannah Howden

Queer culture is inherently apart of Thai culture, drag is still super popular and historically they’re reverent of non-binary people. They call people of a third gender “Kathoey” which is kinda similar to Native American culture and two spirited individuals. I think their laws are a bit lacking in queer rights but that’s a more recent thing

Jay

the english actually wasn’t dubbed. the guy that was speaking is a actor named Perth and he’s actually Australian :)

Laura

Once you go down the BL route you can't escape I'm addicted now . Kinnporsche is what started it for me each episode gets better and better !

Janine M Hall
>>142211855

KinnPorsche was my gateway thai bl as well and now I've lost count how many I have watched. Totally addicted. So many great shows

Lisa is a cow

Just so you guys aren't confused for the rest of the series. Tankhun is the oldest of the three brothers. Kinn is the middle child & Kim is the youngest.

Janine M Hall

When I first watched episode 2 it threw me as it seemed like a completely different genre to the first episode. But definitely just go with it because it is worth it for the whole ride!

Saye

It's been said before, but it's a frequent BL trope that men would be at least bi, or possibly all gay.

Saye
>>142130662

Much as I love KP, there are some occasional times when the farcical humour becomes a little bit too OTT and annoying for me . But as you say, I've come to understand it is enjoyable to the original target audience. When I rewatch the series, it's my cue to go get myself a drink.

Saye
>>142177200

As for the other guy, he is bilingual in English.

Trixy_loves_the _world

Mile, the actor playing Kinn. He has a ”WOW factor” I only saw a bit of, in this series, since I focused more on Porsche (Apo). Then I happened upon the beginning of a “live” IG he was doing. They hadn’t started yet and he was just candidly looked straight into the camera as he was figuring out angle and volume. 😳I looked into his sincere eyes, in that masculine face, and 🤯I saw heaven right there🫠 he just has the kind of charisma to make your knees weak. 😊

Trixy_loves_the _world

Can’t wait for your next KP episode😂. Watching this, w you 2, makes me feel like I’ve time traveled back to my Uni dorm and my best friends. Your humor is just everything I miss about those friends. Thanks for the laughs🤣😂😮‍💨. I feel so happy now. 🫂&💋x2.

When watching, there are several things that are typical of Asian BLs, particularly Thai ones, that you see quite often: - all the male main characters are paired with other men. In BLs, it’s more like a reverse of the real world where you end up having a token straight person. There may be Bi or Pan characters, but most relationships depicted unless they are the parents are queer relationships. - the product placements are not ambiguous. You won’t be left going “I wonder if they are sponsored by that” but instead they will blatantly show a brand, product, talk about it’s characteristics in the show. Yes, the bread was a sponsor. There are a handful of products BL fans know really well: Jdent toothpaste, Lactasoy soymilk, Cica face serums, different brands of jelly snacks, drinks and seaweed snacks. - there will be certain acts that we in Western culture have already deemed as NOT OKAY in plots that are written off as romantic or normal like kissing someone asleep or drunk, drunk sex, etc. This is particularly true in older BLs but is falling out of popularity as BLs have gained more Western fans who have disapproved. I will continue to address comments you make when you watch BLs, as I’ve been immersed in them a long time and love to get people interested in the culture and the different amazing stories.

Anna

I noticed that you guys kept referring to Thankhun as the younger brother but he is, in fact, the older brother. As Pete explained, he got kidnapped when he was young and has a lot of trauma hence why Kinn is the heir as the middle child. We haven’t met the younger brother, Kim, as yet. Another thing to note is that even though they referred to the main family and the minor family as “two families”, they’re one family. The heads of both are blood brothers. Hope you guys don’t wait too long to watch ep 3. You’re gonna love it!!!

Saye

By the way, you misspellt "KinnPorsche" in the tag.

I did. I just added this as a general comment. I’m in the BL fb group and have a big list of BLs I have watched and rated. I breathe them

Fio

The infamous bread makes its first appearance! 😏 When you are done with the show you will never look at a slice of bread ever again without remembering KinnPorsche.

Cherrie

I know y'all are having fun, and I'm really enjoying watching you! But you really should pay attention to the dialogue. You're missing parts of the story. Maybe when you pause, just take it back about 10 seconds so you can actually read what's going on?

Gaica

I really want you all to take note of the fact that Kan (the head of the minor family) only took notice of Porsche because His brother Korn (kinn's family and the head of the main) seemed to be protecting him. And I want you to remember that Korn was the want who wanted Porsche on the team and not Kinn. Korn literally just handed Porsche the head body guard position straight out the streets with no training

Saye

I wonder how many people are aware that in the original 2022 airing of the show there was a TW for the bathroom scene , and a PSA tag about roofies and consent followed that episode.

Saye

On Youtube @Deamonslayer576 posted a very interesting fact : "Vegas is quite an interesting character and his dynamic with the other members of the show is very complex (He also seems to have an aversion to shirt buttons but thats a nice bonus). The diamond auction actually has a subtle double meaning as Porche's last name is "Pachara" and "Pachara" means diamond. So its not just money/ego thing between Kinn and Vegas they are indirectly trying to claim Porsche in that scene."

Nomi Saxton

Alex: "No no no, it's not a spoiler!" Alex: "(spoiler)" xxoo
