This is a nice way to spend Monday morning. Yes wearing an eyepatch changes one’s whole visual perception. Peripheral vision is lost. I recently had to wear a patch for a couple of days (not as a pirate) and it was no fun.

Chris Metzger

I just got to work, but first, I'm watching this. One must have priorities!

Dominique Berton

I have not watched any of it so I have to go away and do just that then return to this series of commentaries. Is there a Youtube link with abbreviated versions, by any chance?

Stian Kristoffersen

I didn't give OFMD a chance when it first came out. Saw a few episodes but didn't like it. Changed my mind entirely when I watched it with you guys. Now I love it and can't wait to join you on the second season journey!! ☠️😘

The whole first season reaction videos by ASWT are on the YouTube channel. You’re in for a treat.

Diane Furlong

Last season it took me a couple of episodes to figure out what was going on. This season they’re getting to it right from the get go. I’m all in.

Rowan Cannell

What a treat to wake up to! Season 2 has been a fantastic ride and I'm sure you'll love it.

L Archibald

Blackbeard keeping the cake topper that looked like Stede 💔

Rowan Cannell

To add, there are after credit scenes in each S2 episode (some are quite funny). Zheng Yi Sao was a real pirate (later in history than Stede and Blackbeard), considered the most successful pirate in history by many.

Chris Metzger

This is going to be a fun season for you lads. Of course irl, I'm at the penultimate episode. The finale comes out this week, and I have absolutely no idea how it's going to end! I can't wait!!

Kaci

I'm so excited for this! I'm loving this season and can't wait to hear your thoughts going forward.

Dorothy Johnstone

A shame you guys missed important dialogue, etc, by talking over the episode. Not earthshaking stuff though. Lol

Yara Kaas

Fun fact: two of Jackie's husbands are played by trans actors! You can see one quite clearly, with the hood up.

Mads

I need you two to know that this entire show was created because the writer read in a Blackbeard biography that the Gentlemen Pirate (who was never a prolific or good captain by reputation) was seen on Blackbeards ship wearing a robe walking about and reading books. And there was no reason or story why these two would even be friends or coworkers much, but there he was, Stede Bonnet, in a robe, with books, hanging out with Blackbeard all the time... so he wrote the show to fill in what he believed, were the blanks LOL

Jacqui Chesterton

“The best healing journeys don’t involve killing other people.” Lol. I mean. Realistically we know that’s true, but since this is a fantasy world, it does look like marvellous catharsis, doesn’t it?

Beach gurl Bi

There is an amazing cameo by Minnie Driver playing a retired lesbian pirate in this season, and she is the MOMENT!! I am loving this season so much, it just keeps getting queerer

pete's extremely loud "i can't believe how well this is going" when they rob jackie took me all the way out 😂

Chloe Grover

I loooove Stede throwing the letters in bottles into the ocean, it's so HIM. go off, delusional queen! you throw those romantic-ass letters that will probably just float there forever💅

Alvie

Excited to see your thoughts on season 2. I've already finished the whole season, so these videos are going to have to get me through my pirate withdrawl.

Jennifer Fell

Loved this first episode... been saving them up to binge! I think the current pride flag still has indigo in it... the original flag designed by Gilbert Baker has pink and turquoise in but they were removed due to issues manufacturing those colours. The original was commissioned by Harvey Milk (I love geeky facts about queer history)
