A special treat tonight ahead of the youtube release

it's the LOOKING Finale! This series has been wild and we have thoroughly enjoyed it and are 'looking' forward to reaction to season 2!

thank you so much Patrons for the suggestion and votes in the poll.

Our final take - some brilliant, if not at times brutally honest - gay representation. TOP TIER!

What did you think and do you agree??? is it good representation even if you don't like the main characters haha

let us know :)

lots of love

Alex and Josh

They are flawed, so are we *shrug... "Looking" forward to growing with them as time goes on. So glad you enjoyed S1 🥰

Diane Furlong

This has been great! It’s gay representation and just being human!! Thanks so much Alex and Josh. Season 2 and the movie are great as well. I’ve enjoyed getting to “know” all of characters flaws and all. I’m certainly not perfect. Hopefully not quite as flawed as some.

IAmom

Thank you for this - What a lovely Monday surprise 😀 your facial expressions during the Patrick/Richie scene at the end were hilarious 🤣🤣 I think the guy Len brought looks a lot like Augustíns ex (forgot his name) - Maybe that’s why you feel you recognize him?

I love series that give you real life problems and experiences like this especially for the queer community. We are all human and make mistakes its just important that we learn and grow from it. I love it sm <3 I definitely can’t wait for ur reaction to s2 and the movie !

galitya

The way you describe how you feel watching this show is all I hoped it would be. Without spoiling anything, I think in season 2 there's some growing up going on, everyone are still flawed but you get to really see how great the three main characters are at being good friends to each other. Which is beautiful 😍 And the movie gives you as a viewer wonderful closer so I would love love to see you watch it. Thank you so much for this, it's been a real comfort for me at a time I needed it very much 💜

Stian Kristoffersen

Thanks! Nice way to start the week! 😘 I've enjoyed Looking very much. Yes, they are all flawed and make some bad choices along the way, but that's life. Some problems they face might be exclusive to the queer community but overall I think the show life as it is for everyone. Looking forward to season 2! 😊

Jenny Lukan

I’m so excited for you two to watch Patrick’s character development over the second/last season and especially the movie!

Jacqui Chesterton

The actor who played Lynn's date also played Murray Bartlett's ex in Tales of the City. If you've seen it that might be what confused you because it definitely confused me lol.

Diane Furlong

Just starting to watch while dinner is in the oven. Nice haircut Josh

Jacqui Chesterton

I've really enjoyed your reaction to season 1, and I can't wait for season 2 and the movie. Looking has been top of my list of queer shows for a long time, precisely because of what you said at the end there - it's just very real. Very stark, often shockingly so, and I think it's rare for just that reason.

Pip

Series 2 is better.

Rachel

Just started the episode and I am here for a sticker AND where are the mugs and tees? I'm waiting for it!

The Tommo Way

I think you will be surprised on the second season and the movie. I really fell in love with some of them

Ant

Please watch Goodbye Mother (Vietnamese gay drama film)

Chris Metzger

Okay, I can admit now, I was a bit too hasty when I gave up on this series during its original run. I've enjoyed watching along with you lads. I look forward to seeing the second series when you get to it. The most important question I have from this finale is, is The Golden Girls just as huge for the gays in other parts of the world, or is that strictly an American thing?

mjenkinsify

wait will you guys do season 2 and the movie???????????

M

What great writing and acting when the two attractive guys finally hook up and you go "is this good? It's a bit..." 🫣

Teddy

I’ll be honest, I can’t actually remember what happens in most of these episodes as they’re all one big episode to me as I’m forever watching it all in one, but I most definitely remembered the Kevin/Patrick scene, and now that something more has happened between them on the tail of whatever’s happening with Patrick/Richie, I feel comfortable saying that it’s Patrick and Richie for me, there’s definitely something about Kevin, but overall I’m team Richie

Grace

It's one of my favorite series. I always suggest it to people because it never got the broader audience it deserved. I never approach anyone but I saw the creator of Looking once at a cafe on a Studio Lot. I went up to him and told him how much I loved Looking. He was super nice and very appreciative to hear from a fan. I'm so glad they got to do a movie to wrap it up. Looking forward to your season 2 reactions!

100% Team Richie. Although I do feel bad for Kevin in the end. I won't give away why since they're only on Season 1. :)

Patrick def grows A LOT over the course of Season 2 and the Movie. At times over the course of that growth I do want to slap him. LOL. Regardless if you're team Richie or Kevin you feel for them both at different points in the love triangle. Love Patrick but damn.

Grace

Also, side note. This show was way before it's time in my POV. I think if it came out now it would be huge.

IAmom

Just FYI - I thought the sex was hot, hot, hot!!! Nobody asked, I know ;0)

Joanna

The last scene with Patrick and Richie gave me the same vibes as Rachel and Ross “we were on a break”

IAmom
>>121644017

Seen both seasons and I am absolutely, 100 % team Kevin/Patrick. Richie is amazing, but he is not a good match for Patrick or vice versa.

Kent Smither

I am SOO glad you are doing this series. I can't wait for you to get into season 2. I actually love the characters, EVEN Augustin, which is saying something. They are so lost and struggling and REAL. but they also feel like they are -- at heart -- well-intentioned. I'm not sure I can include Kevin as being well-intentioned, he seems, as you said, manipulative. The break-up scene with Ritchie broke my heart. The way he could barely look Patrick in the eyes was powerful and moving to me. He seems like a person who has fought hard to be true to himself and who is so tender-hearted that his fears of opening up to Patrick are well-founded. (I am Team Richie all the way!!!) "Looking" foreward to watching the rest with you.

Jennifer

“NOT THE UNICORN!” “That’s a hate crime.” 😂 I am very much looking forward to season two! Thank you 😊

Luna

⚠️ 📢RANT📢 I can't believe there are people who are team Kevin 😭😭😭 He is soo selfish, manipulative and doesn't reflect on himself and his actions at all. 1. He has known Patrick wanted him from the beginning. Instead of using that knowledge to form clear boundaries w/ Patrick he uses it to manipulate 2. Patrick into overworking/overextending himself as he wants to look good in front of his Boss that he hit on and got rejected by and now feels he has to show that he earned his position and not just a slacker more concerned about getting his dick wet than doing his work. 3. When he sees Patrick getting more confident in himself and not needing his validation, he forces himself onto him cause he needs that validation from Patrick too, that he is "that dude" or "the man". When Patrick isn't as grateful to be kissed by him as he thought he would be he 4. Tries to force a conversation about the kiss to which Patrick tells him in no uncertain terms "NO" on three different occasions, but instead of respecting Patrick trying to set boundaries he manipulates him into an after hours meeting under the pretense of it being work related at a time when 5. Patrick is at his lowest and feeling rejected thinking that his r/s w/ Ritchie is over and just wanting to feel wanted. 6. Before the encounter Patrick asks "What about your boyfriend" and Kevin just shrugs it off. After, Patrick asks "Now what?" and Kevin literally goes "UHH DUNNO" LIKE WHAT?! 7. Kevin wants to have his cake and eat it too but like wtf. He doesn't know what he wants only that he wants to have sex w/ Patrick not thinking about their working r/s, his boyfriend or any of the consequences of their actions I'm NOT absolving Patrick of responsibility, but there is a power imbalance in their r/s and it has been shown from the beginning that he is susceptible to Kevin's abuse of it. And he was in an emotionally vulnerable place when he finally gave into Kevin BUT he had tried really hard to set proper boundaries between the two of them throughout the season while Kevin just wanted to cross and break them. 📢END RANT.📢 ⚠️ Sorry to all who read throught that lol. I just really don't like Kevin. Ritchie may have issues but he knows who he is, is honest and sincere and tries to be good person. TEAM RITCHIE ALL THE WAY 🫡😂

Clash

OMG, I have no words I spent that whole episode with my jaw on the floor. I like the ending so real. Wow Kevin, what was he thinking. Poor Richie. Can’t wait to see Season 2. Alex and Josh your reactions have been brilliant. Looking for chicken am there to it

SA 'Baz' Collins

Am a HUGE Raul Castillo (Ritchie) fan, and y'all should consider reacting to Cassandro as he's in that movie and plays queer again. It's a true story about the first Exotico Lucha Libre Mexican wrestler and is incredibly well done. Gael Garcia Bernal plays the title character and Raul plays his DL lover boy. And BOY did Raul leave being a Mexican twink behind. The man is THICC AF now.

Luna

You had me at Gael Garcia Bernal! Thanks for bringing this movie to my attention 🤭

Jennifer Thompson

Team Richie since the second we laid eyes on him.

Kevin
>>121734629

Agreed 100%. Even with Season 2, I never liked Kevin, or Patrick much. I am with Alex, I just wished the show would follow Richie instead of Patrick. He is terrible.

Luna
>>121734629

Well I'm watching along with Alex and Josh so I dunno what's going to happen in S2 I just know that NOTHING can make me like Kevin. Ever. 😂😂😂

i LOVED that movie. it also has roberta colindrez who is amazing and she was in a league of their own, which i am still hoping the guys will react to some day... it's seriously a perfect show!

Jayne

PLEASE DO SEASON 2 and the movie, season 2 in my opinion is better than season 1, more personal growth for each of the characters 🤣🤣
