"That's cause it's MONOPOLY" - classic! Few people understand that Monopoly was created by a die-hard socialist as a straw-man to show "all the evils of capitalism". The first player has a tremendous, un-earned advantage. Money begets money, while being poor is expensive. Played by the rules, games are nasty, brutish and short. It's all the "rules" people add to try to make the game "more fair" that make it drag on for days.
