Hey howdy, peeps! As of right now there are less than 15 pages left of Supercell Book 2 to wrap up. Which is a wild concept to me.

As some of you know, Book 2 was plagued a little bit by random pauses and hiati, which is something I was never happy about, especially since for the first four years of the comic I managed to post pages twice a week without ever skipping a beat.

Part of that is because Book 2 was a bit less planned than Book 1, even though I had the general outline of the whole thing. Book 1 was written from beginning to end before I started making pages, and even though things changed in the narrative over time, it was still under control enough that I could work around the shifts. But book 2, since I was working largely on a one scene at the time basis, it took several turns in real time that I wasn't expecting. Zaegon and Fangs weren't really supposed to be more than single appearance characters, but in figuring out how to make certain things happen in the narrative, the ended up forcing themselves into the main cast somehow.

What this means is that a lot of the stuff I had planned for Book 3 needs to be replanned almost from scratch because now there are new people with agency and decision making power who are invested in the upcoming events and will absolutely intervene where necessary. Needless to say, trying to improvise writing like that is not safe. I don't want to star wars/marvel this by thoughtlessly throwing crap into it. I'm still trying to craft a specific overall vision with the elements I've put into play.

So, unfortunately, there will be another pause in comic updates after Book 2 so I can really hunker down and mold Book 3 in a way that allows me to canon ball through it more reliably, and it's a much tighter narrative experience.

That all said, I don't want to leave you guys hanging. I know some of you are just here to support my artistic endeavors, which I'm super super grateful for! But some of you are here for the early updates. In the absence of that, I want to start making some Patreon exclusive content, so even if it's not new pages, there's still some fun goodies to be had while I set up for the next chapter.

Right now the obvious is stuff like illustrations and wallpapers, but that doesn't strike me as enough of a novelty to justify it. I'm super bad at coming up with ideas for stuff like this, so I figured, since y'all are the beneficiaries of this set up, why not crowdsource that to you guys?

What kind of stuff would you like to see for exclusive here perks? Are you yearning for some type of content I haven't been providing in general? Would you like events like QA? Art tutorials? Suggest things to your hearts' contents. Go crazy! A ton of ideas means there'll be a larger pool to chose from to make this a fun experience ^^
