I just realized it's been a few weeks since I posted any updates on the status of the comic. First thing I want to say is, yes, I'm still working on it, and I'm not gonna stop, so you don't have to worry about that part. But also, there's some garbage that's making it extremely difficult and I think I should be honest about that, so let's do a bit of real talk. Right now it's slowed down to a crawl where I've been barely able to move it forward, just a few words of writing at the time. It's not that  I don't know what to do with it, or that I'm burned out on it. There's just an ambient disgust with the meta where, in various ways, the world is indicating to me that I'm spending a lot of time and effort on stuff that ultimately doesn't matter. That I could just ditch the comic entirely and have the cast be fun little OCs that I make cute little animations that just take a few days to make, and that would mean so much more to people in general than everything I've put into the comic for the past several years. It's demoralizing. So, that's where I'm at right now. I'm still scratching away at the script and will start making pages again, probably within the month, but that's why the project has been stalling out. I like to think that most of you who are on this server are here because you're actually invested in the project, and I'm extremely grateful for that, so it only seems fair to let y'all know what's been going on on that front. Thanks for hanging in there while I get my shit together.

The Zen masters say, "what we do is not important, but it is important that we do it." Which is a way of saying "you do you". From experience, if you try to force yourself to do something you're not that into at the moment, you are courting burnout. Consider me an expert witness! As for the "raw world outside", well, preach brother. Many days I have to turn off the news; I have enough problems to deal with as it is. Yes, I'm quite invested in your work, but I don't want to see you feel miserable from it. I have found myself telling various webcomic creators things much like the above. Artists seem to be their own worst critics. I have even told one person complaining about a lack of new pages, "you know, I just don't think this is the medium for you". You don't owe me, or anyone, *everything*, including a schedule. So, go take a walk *, pet a cat, sing some punk rock under your breath, and take care of yourself. Sorry to hear that you're going through some trouble emotionally. I hope you'll continue to hang in there and know that you have a lot of support. To be honest, I found your comic by complete accident nearly a year or two ago. It's one of those happy accidents I suppose because your art work, characters and story really moved me. Been a huge fan since^^ The animated clips are fun to see, especially when we hear the characters speak. However, it was your story, characters and comic that really caught my eye to begin with. I think the same goes for many who have read Supercell. True not everyone will read it and of course you'll probably get a few who feel "entitled" like it's "Their Work since they are the viewer" and get impatient when their demands aren't met. That's fine though, you can't please everyone. Sometimes you have to think about yourself and make sure that your are alright. Yeah the world does kinda suck at times. You could argue that it always sucked no matter the decade or time period. However there is a flip side to that coin, with every bad thing that that happens something good also happens as well. Sadly, good news or anything happy rarely gets mentioned it seems, but it's still there. We just need to try focus on the good no matter how large or small. Optimistic and a bit naïve sure, but I think it really helps. If we only focus on the negative crap, then what's the point? I think your comic in general helps brings some light for those who read it. Supercell isn't mindless entertainment as your comic deals with many serious issues and has complex characters. At the same time it doesn't carry that nihilist attitude that many believe is edgy or cool. I'm really happy to hear that your still working on Supercell, but I also hope that you'll be ok as well.

Heya, I really appreciate your thoughts. Rest assured I'm not stopping the comic any time soon, I just had a moment there where things got rough, emotionally. It's really comforting knowing the comic ends up meaning more to peeps than just the superficial layer. The good news is I've gotten out of that mode! And I've been writing a lot recently, so page production should resume shortly. I just have a bunch of work to get through first

Oh yeah, agreed. Sometimes it just gets rough. I'm not really in danger of burning out on the comic, it's weird external crap that makes things feel cruddy every so often. I'm back on the ball, though and page production is right around the corner ^^
