I feel like she's someone who tries hard to figure out what's right and what's wrong with a father who no longer (openly) appreciates anything about her except for results of super hard military training and studying (and oftentimes not even that anymore), so she feels like going in a direction that involves strength and violence HAS to be the way to be appreciated. So I don't see her as an emotional support bully (and I am not even entirely sure what exactly that term means). I don't actually see her as anything concrete yet, because she's still molding herself, trying to find a good moral compass to navigate her through life. Maybe that's what attracted her to Al, because Al seems to be very set in her ways.
