Sometimes there’s a character I really want to draw, but if the feeling isn’t right, I just can’t bring myself to do it.

Other times, I may not know a character at all, but if the feeling clicks, I’ll look up references and try drawing them.

I’ve always wanted to draw Akane, but the feeling was never quite there. Even back when people voted for her every month and kept hoping I’d draw her, I still couldn’t bring myself to start.

For some reason, today the feeling was right—so I drew her.

I hate this instinct of mine. It’s always so unpredictable.

I wish it would just listen to me sometimes.
