The Mummy Returns 2001 FULL REACTION

I just a movie on prime called cockneys and zombies. Not the greatest movie ever but a fun watch

Octavia

I was actually surprised by how many folks seem to really like this one. I saw it in the theater and was disappointed overall. Mainly because I think adding a precocious child to the estsblished adult mix is never the best idea. But, on a small screen with R&T, I'm sure it's more fun. I mean, just for John Hannah alone.

I was 8 when I first saw it so I couldn't tell you why others would dislike it but I always loved it. Not as great as the first but I'll always watch them back to back. Still haven't watched the 3rd though

Terri

At the time I was disappointed in this one too. Mainly because I loved the first movie and eagerly awaited the second movie's release. I was there in the theater on the first day. It was less grounded than the first, definitely had too much kid in it, and the way they made Evie the reincarnation of the daughter felt contrived. So I get it. BUT I will say that in retrospect, this movie is a fine sequel. By today's movie standards it looks like a work of art imo. At least it's entertaining, which is more than I can say for half the stuff out there. Sure, it isn't the perfect sequel, but as sequels go--this is one of the better ones imo.

Yay! I need a distraction. Got food poisoning since last night and all day today. Been in bed. Now I have to get up cuz the kids came home from school but I need a mental distraction to feel better

Kim Magee

@ Rob in defence of The Rock, much like Hurley setting lost. I'm a big guy. It's going to be a while before you're going to want to give me a piggyback

Kim Magee

Could you imagine the director or producer saying to The Rock you're supposed to be wandering around the desert for 7 years? You're going to have to stop working out I swear that guy probably works out in his sleep

Kim Magee

Is it sad that I would rather the bird lift and the kid died LOL

kimburley

Great fun that movie (Cockney and zombies)

Schmaster

What other movies do you like?

Jaroslav Dočekal

I don't care what people say about the CGI or anything, I love this movie.

Interested to know if you guys know the the rock from watching wrestling or just because he’s known as the rock and famous

Nora

I don’t recommend the third one… cast changed (Eve) but watch it if you must lol… now, there are rumors that there will be a Mummy 4, with the original cast!! So, I hope it does happen! 🤙

Nora

Rob & Trin, remember in the first movie, Eve said that her mother was an Egyptian, that it was in her blood… maybe she was a descendant 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, rumor is, The mummy 4 may happen with the original cast (not like the mummy 3 😆) if you want, you can watch the mummy 3, but I didn’t really like it. You may though! 😅 like always, love the reactions! (There is a movie The Scorpion King, with the real the rock! 😂😂 not cgi… if you decide to watch it… I’ll just be here waiting) 😂😂🤙🤙

Finally watched your reaction to this one. Got a feeling you'd enjoy these movies. Since you were hoping to see The Rock come in and slam some heads I highly recommend you two also watch The Scorpion King. There you have a movie similar to these, but way back in time with the backstory of the Scorpion King, and with the actual Dwayne Johnson. Also starring Michael Clark Duncan (John Coffey in The Green Mile). Watching those two guys on screen together is very fun.
