ren

Omg i can’t even watch this episode knowing what happens

Dominic

Hated what they did to Bellamy’s character 😭😭 they did Bellarke so dirty😭😭

darg

oh man I've been dreading this one 😭

ren

it’s so ridiculous the writers really ruined their own show

Alyssa Dyson

I really really dislike this season...I stopped watching your reaction after they killed Clarkes "mom" Im just here for this ep and the last to see what you guys think. Season two and three were peak television and its sad to see where it ended up.

TurtZ

ah shit here we go

Jaroslav Dočekal

Clarke killing him just didn't make any sense, she was willing to kill him but didn't care to stay and get the damn book. I still find the last season fine except for this.

Anthony Ancona

Season 1 is much better than Season 7 I stopped watching after the rise of Shaidhada.

23p23 41

I find this decision by Clarke very selfish. yet again she is deciding fate of someone without asking others and she is only thinking about her and Madi. What about Octavia or Echo? Yeah... from their POV this wasnt Bellamy they knew even tho he is but he also believe in transcendence. I really dont think Bellamy would let Cadigan kill Madi like he said to Clarke. I also find this very funny for someone to kill Bellamy to be Clarke after she told to Bellamy in the start of season 6 that he is also her family and she will never forget that, then Bellamy risked everything for her and brought her back from dead and she straight up shot him in heart and even left book there :D

Nick

I'm not a fan of Season 7 generally, for me everything was fine until the prologue/spin-off episode, I liked how that wrapped up everything full circle but after that is...a letdown. I also don't know about Sheidhada, whether it is the actor (not criticising actor just felt doesn't really fit it to me) or just the general role/script puts me off.

23p23 41

Season 7 was load of rubbish tbh. I only include what Rob and Trin seen but story of this season was absolutely horendous. So many bottle episodes and planets and timelines and storylines and half of those didnt even make sense. Watching this season back then 1 episode per week was pain and i was almost ready to give up by the time episode 6 was on

23p23 41

Sheidhada was very underwhelming. Didnt really do much. I think it would be better tho for whole season if it was about war against Sheidheda and not about "FOR ALL MAN KIND" nonsense

darg

Like or dislike Bellamy, the fact that this is how the male lead of the show dies is so absolutely pathetic and so frustrating to watch. He was killed off like he was just an extra or background character, like, even Atom in season 1 had a better death scene than this 😭 He died as a traitor to his friends, his FAMILY. he didn't even get to say goodbye to Octavia or anything, Clarke didn't even grab the book... and she could have shot him in the leg or something.. I don't blame Clarke, I just blame Jason (the creator) for this bs death because of his personal issues with Bob Morley (Bellamy) This was an absolute slap in the face to the fans who had been watching for years, and to everyone who had shipped them throughout the entire show

James

I don’t really mind Bellamy’s death as much as everyone else, I can’t blame Clarke for doing it he was willing to put Maddie’s life at risk just to serve the Shepard he wasn’t the same person. But I guess it’s More trauma for Clarke because she didn’t have enough.

Gilstead

I think it's a fitting end to the friendship. We've seen Clarke & Bellamy in this situation many times before.

roncelune

Eh... it's not like it was the first time Bellamy betrayed the group for some weird ideals like with the whole Pike thing. I never really reconnected with the character after that anyway. I remember at the time reading that Bob Morley had a reduced role in season 7 because of something he did irl, can someone confirm this ?

June

Lotr

23p23 41

there were multiple theories. Some people were saying that he was mentally completely gone and he wasnt able to put it together to film. Other ones were saying that he had to undergo surgery or had problems with his leg and was unable to film for that reason or some were saying that there was disagreement between him and Jason R. All i know is that even Bob Morley said he wasnt happy with his ending

Angelina Sargent

Yeah this is when I started hating the series... it's so dumb. Lol they did so well til this moment in the show.

Zwopt

worst decision a shows ever made, ruined my 2nd favorite show😵‍💫the whole idea of her killing her BEST FRIEND FOR THE WHOLE SHOW over someone WE MET HALF WAY INTO THE SHOW, only for her to NOT GET THE BOOK, wow !!! good job clarke!! you really spent an entire series saying you’ll always do what’s best for your people, then half way through met one person who you decided to put 1st now above everyone you already knew!!! good job show!!! great “character development”!! not to mention the whole character group always talking about wanting to do better and never fucking doing it, great writing👍🏻let’s just keep killing OTHER PEOPLE because OUR PPL are somehow the most important in the universe🤦🏻‍♂️yeah we doing better man!!!

Octavia

I like this season a lot. And I have no problem with Bellamy's death. In my opinion... the hate is an over-reaction. Why can't a main character die like this? It's happened all along. What makes Bellamy deserve better? Death is senseless, pointless.... since the beginning. It's rare to have death mean something. I think it was a bold move. The show never revolved around Bellamy in my eyes... it revolves around Clarke and Octavia... and growingly also to Murphy. Bob Morley asked for significant time off... the season had to be rewritten. But it's a production, a business that must go on... and thems the breaks. It's the Bellarke / Bob Morley diehards that claim this is somehow 'wrong'. It hurts to lose characters, but that's the 100... pulls no punches. Bellamy stopped being the male lead when he couldn't commit to a full season.

Wendy Sparks

Sigh. Something is not automatically bad or dumb just because you didn't like it, or didn't get what you wanted. It's not our story to tell. And Clarke has come close to killing Bellamy twice before. It's in character for a parent to kill for their child. Anyone remember Michael from Lost?! Clarke did what Clarke does: eliminate the threat in front of her. And Bellamy was a threat in that moment. He made it quite clear that he was telling Cadogan about Madi, no matter what. Clarke can't go by any more than that. I've enjoyed this season just fine without Bellamy. If I had to pick a main character to die, it would be Bellamy.

BadCode

It's funny. I always see fans complaining about main character plot armor. And then when a show actually has the balls to do a shocking kill -- fans have tantrums. Some anyway. What's great is that I noticed that most newer viewers are less judgmental. Plenty of fans like S7. It was the younger, online, first run fans who were watching more for Bob and Bellarke that pitched fits. Bellarke was never happening in the show. Only in shippers mind space. With time and removed from shipping circles -- new watchers get over it and see the whole. Like I got over Lexa, Lincoln, etc...

Wendy Sparks

NO way could Bellamy keep Madi safe. Bellamy was delusional in trying to pledge that. He couldn't and didn't keep Clarke, or Raven, from suffering in the mcap machine. Because they wouldn't submit. Bill has all the power. And Bellamy was a fool not to see how far Cadogan would go. The man had Becca burned alive and locked his wife out of the bunker.

PhoebeG

As a Bellamy/Bellarke hater I loved this for me.

Ирина Устюгова

I remember when Lexa died and Clexa/Lexa fans were angry and upset some Bellarkе fans were saying stop overreacting and "it's just a character". But when Bellamy died it suddenly "ruined the show". Well...

BadCode

I thought it was fitting. And probably the only way to finally get overreaching Bellarke fans to understand it was a dead end. The show has made it clear for a very long time that, after her maternal love for Madi, it'll always be Lexa for Clarke. With the beginnings of something with Gaia. As was being presented in the early eps of this season. (Before Tati Gabrielle had to leave to film Sabrina.)

Octavia

Some get so hung up on not getting the sketchbook... that they miss the reality of that scene. Clarke did NOT kill Bellamy solely for the sketchbook. She killed him because he was going to tell Cadogan about the sketchbook. Sure, she wanted it back. BUT the sketchbook could have burst into flames in Bellamy's hands... and Bellamy would've still told Cadogan all about it. Once Bellamy made that clear, and he did... he sealed his fate. Honestly, I appreciate the realism of it not working out perfectly. That's what happens in life. Without Bellamy, Cadogan wouldn't know what it exactly meant. But unfortunately, there's still Sheidheda. Dammit, Indra.

Behrad

do you guys already have a new show planned when this ends?

James

I think they’re putting up a sci-fi themed poll to replace this shows spot after it ends

Manuel Schütz

Have you seen the Grimm series? If not, it would be really cool if you gave the series a chance here on Patreon. (My favorite series after the Walking Dead)

Wendy Sparks

I don't see how killing Bellamy 'ruins' the show or the season. He wasn't a part of almost any of this season, except as a factor for other characters. It was only his return that dragged the story down. Just because he was around from the beginning doesn't mean that he was owed any particular outcome. This show has always been more driven by the female characters. And death and repeating cycles. I do understand that to some, he was their favorite character. But that doesn't mean he was the crux of the show. I was devastated over the loss of Lexa, the manner in which it happened. But I made peace with it, saw past my own bias, and continued to enjoy the whole of the show. And I enjoy the entirety of it more with every rewatch.

23p23 41

like i wouldnt go this far that this moment ruined whole show but definetelly it wasnt a moment writters are going to be proud of. I loved Bellamy, even more since season 4-5. He was a real team player. Always tried to make reasonable decisions **after season 3** while Clarke was doing her things... wawing around with her gun and putting everyone in danger. Of course this particular scene was stupid but i had no problem with her protecting Madi. At the end she spent with Madi 6 years what is if i am right far more than she actually knew her friends but whole situation could have been resolved in totally different way. She didnt have to make a kill shot. He was saying to her that he wont let anything happen to Madi. But it wasnt only Clarke but whole season and almost whole cast doing terrible decisions over and over again like Indra's imcompetence to kill Sheidheda by saying she cant kill him or that he is already dying. Whole season was absolutely tragic and not only this particular moment even tho at that moment it felt like last nail in the coffin. It felt like they tried to sabotage their own show

FedeM

And THIS is why I never watched this final season before now. Personally, as much as I love Bellamy, I am ok with losing a main character and I DID enjoy the scifi plot of s7, but I just have to put this season at the lowest of my ranking, even after watching it. I was excited in the premiere seeing everyone living together but after that... it just lacked something all along. The biggest thing in a show for me is connecting to characters and Bellamy was nowhere to be seen only to get killed off? where even is Gaia?? did we really get to know Jordan? Clarke and Madi were separated, we had barely any Raven at all?? I liked having a bit more Murphy and getting to know Dyoza better but it still felt too disjointed for me and a few too many developments went out the window (with it being the final episodes and all). All in all I am not saying this has not been an enjoyable ending to a great ride, but I expected a bit more. Now, on towards the finale!

Terri

Disagree. There is objectively bad writing and objectively good writing. Most famous writers can tell you basic "rules" of a story. For example, show don't tell. I'm a writer myself and this was bad writing on a number of levels. Much like the finale of GoT and HIMYM.

Terri

Because people like to joke about plot armor, but it isn't a real complaint for the most part. People really want the fantasy where the heroes live and the villains die. That's why a lot of big movies, especially in the 90's are still popular today. Because people WANT that kind of story. The modern takes where we deconstruct everything was originally meant to just be fun talk between the fandom. Then Hollywood started taking it seriously, and that's why a lot of these final seasons or big finales are failing. Because people talk a big game, but it's not what the majority wants.

Terri

Honestly killing Bellamy ruined the show for me. I have some shows that I just rewatch once every few years. This used to be one of them until this point. I haven't rewatched it since other than this viewing with you guys. And I don't recommend it to people because it just ends so poorly. It's another example of how to take a great show and ruin it. Much like GoT or famously...HIMYM. And it's sad because this show could've gone down as one of the greats. Instead, it's mostly forgotten because the showrunner decided he hated Bob Morely and others like Ricky Whittle (Lincoln). He even hated the fans of the show. Said something along the lines of that at one point. Just an example of a shitty person running things into the ground to spite others.

Wendy Sparks

Unfortunately, Tati Gabrielle (Gaia) had to also fulfill her commitment to filming The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - so Gaia disappeared thru a portal.

Wendy Sparks

Nah, you just don't like it. This is The 100, the writing has always been this way. Clarke almost shot Bellamy previously, before she had a child. And was sure she'd ended him in S5. It's completely in her character. People tend to revert to their default settings. Like Bellamy. The mistake some made was imagining this series was primarily about Clarke & Bellamy - and it never was. Just one element of much bigger themes. Younger, modern, online fan groups just have developed this exaggerated sense of fan entitlement. Most new viewers like this season, and the whole, just fine. As far as I'm concerned, The 100 stuck the landing. The finale is more satisfying than I would've ever hoped.

BadCode

Lol at the vitriol based on personal bias. None of us were there to have any first hand knowledge of what went on. Two sides to every story. Easier to take it out on the creator, the actors couldn't possibly have played a part. I can't imagine what it's like to deal with the constant haranguing by shippers. Tons of characters have died on the 100, in terrible senseless ways. Nothing new. Whoever thought that the 100 was a happy fantasy? It's about humanity repeating cycles of tragedy with some cool moments in-between. Always unpredictable. Always about loss and sacrifice and terrible choices. It could, and has, happen to any of them. Bellamy's end perfectly underscores all those themes. And as far as I can tell, more people have been watching The 100 than ever. It's remembered for its sci-fi, its dynamic women, Lexa, the way it flips perspectives, and its unrelenting choices.

BIGROO

I completely agree on 90% of your thoughts. i hated everything about how they did Bellamy character to end the show, he went from barely being on the show to coming back brainwashed and turning his back on his family to being shot by his best friend smh like why in the world would you do that. season 7 story line was so dumb to me.
